A prison guard stepped out of the passenger's side and walked over toward the back of the vehicle where you were now standing. His appearance was eerily similar to that of Tom Cruise. He looked down at the clipboard in his hand and then at Mark Jr. while pointing at you with a pen, "This is (Y/N) (L/N) correct?" The guard held out the paper, "We'll just need you to sign here before we take her in." Mark did as requested.

And then the back doors of the prison bus were opened for you. The SPW members walked away as you were led to a seat. Once you had sat down, the Tom Cruise lookalike shackled your ankles. From then on, the ride was fairly silent. Mainly because you were the only actual prisoner in the vehicle at the moment. The only words you could make out were the muffled words of the guards who seemed to be chatting about you. Wondering why you were apparently some sort of special case.

Luckily, the lonesome drive wasn't a long one.

"Wh... Wha...?" Jolyne stared straight at you once the doors opened for her to step into the prison bus.

"Why are you just standing there gawking?" A woman stood behind Jolyne, her brown hair in many braided locks. "Just hurry up and get in, Jolyne. Before the guards get pissed."

Jolyne was still staring at you in shock as she took an empty seat across from you. The woman that had been behind her earlier took the spot in front of the Cujoh. Some other lady sat in the back. After they were all shackled in, too, the course was set for Dolphin Street.

"You're... you're real... right?" It wasn't until the bus had gotten moving that Jolyne was able to find it in herself to speak. "Like..." She scooted forward in her seat, poking at your shoulder, "I'm not just imagining you or something?"

"Have you met her before?" Asked the woman next to the Cujoh.

"Yeah... I must have." Mumbled Jolyne. "Once when I was young, I think. But after a while I assumed I had just made her up. She was like a superhero to me. She could read minds, make stuff levitate, and save the world!" She stared at you intently, waiting for you to confirm or deny what she was saying.

"Really?" The brunette woman raised an eyebrow, "You must have had quite the imagination as a child."

Jolyne nodded, "Yeah, I guess. It certainly felt real back then, though. God, it was so long ago I don't remember your name. But it's weird... you look exactly how I remember you looking back then when you babysat me. It's like you haven't changed at all. You even look around the same age as I am, it's crazy!"

You just laughed, choosing to dodge a few of her observations at the moment. "My name is (Y/N)." You extended a hand for her to shake as best you could while still in cuffs.

The Cujoh accepted the offer, albeit a bit shocked by your rather cold hand. "I'm Jolyne, but you know that. I was convicted of manslaughter. I'm innocent, though."

Seeing you waiting for a response from herself, the woman sitting in front of Jolyne spoke up, "The name's Hermès Costello. I was sentenced here for robbing a twenty-four hour store."

"But... why are you here, (Y/N)?" Jolyne sounded disappointed. Someone she had looked up to was now heading to prison. She couldn't help but wonder if you weren't as good of a person as she imagined you to be.

"Oh, well..." You scratched the side of your face. "The records say I burned down an orphanage full of children."

Hermès, who hadn't really been paying much attention up until now, went wide eyed. "You... what?!" She scooted further away from you, more cautious now, assuming you were some kind of psychopath.

"Ah, well, I didn't actually do that. It was just what they put down." You sort of explained, trying to be at least somewhat truthful to Jolyne.

Jolyne's eyes lit up a smidge. "Then you're innocent, too!" She was clearly glad for that to be the case. Even if there was no real proof to confirm or deny what you had said, she felt inclined to believe you. "Did you also have a shitty lawyer? Cause God I swear, If I ever see that guy again..." She might just actually end up killing someone for real.

"I didn't actually go to court, so..."

"You mean they're just sending you to a high security prison like Dolphin Street without a trial?" Jolyne shook her head in disapproval, "That's fucked up. That can't be legal, can it? Why are you even in the States, anyway? Don't you live in Japan?"

You gave a small shrug. After all, you being here was entirely intentional on your part. You just didn't know if this was the right time to tell Jolyne that. You figured she'd likely be angry, if anything, to learn her father had asked you to be here.

The ride was pretty silent again after that. That is, until the prison bus began to cross the bridge.

Jolyne tilted her head toward the barred windows and then leaned over to whisper with you and Hermès. "Hey. What do they mean by administrative center? Are they referring to the island prison? A little bit ago, the guy sitting by the driver said that it only takes ten minutes to get there after crossing the bridge."

Hermés' brows furrowed in confusion, "What are you talking about? How can you hear what he's saying?"

"Yeah, that's strange..." You eyed Jolyne a bit more carefully. You had noticed a bit of an aura to her. Something she didn't have when she was a kid. You assumed she really had gotten pricked by the arrow chunk Jotaro had mentioned. The aura wasn't that strong yet, though. Her Stand was probably still developing. You couldn't help but wonder what it would be. You made a mental note to talk about it with her later, as well. She'd probably want to know one of the causes for the strange things that would start happening to her. It was only a matter of time.
