"Watanabe Ha-" Seungjoo didn't get to finish my name as Mr. Kim straight walk to the other side of table and held his hand's up for a shake.
"I'm well aware of his name. It's hard to forget his face and his name." He said. His tone was less welcoming than the last time I saw him although somehow his eyes still looked at me the same way.
His tailored suit didn't do much in hiding his fatherly figure and it reminded me when he told me to come to him whenever I need someone to talk to. Not once or twice he told me that. I threw his kindness out of window as though it was nothing. I had become an ungrateful child without me realizing it.
How my own ego and pride destroyed the beautiful things that had laid upon my eyes.
I cleared my throat. "Good to see you again Mr. Kim." Guilty feeling crawled into me as I took his hand. It was obvious my professional façade failed me this time.
He pulled his hand away and straight sit on his seat across mine. There's no warm smile and no big fatherly hug. The kind that he used to gave me years ago. It was clear he's trying to draw a line. I hurt his only son after all.
I sat down on my own seat. Seungjoo walk closer to stand behind me and across him, behind Mr. Kim, stood another familiar face. His loyal secretary. The same person that picked us up at Jeju airport. The one I once jealous of because his daughter likes Junkyu Hyung. That one kind of stupid, I know.
"How are you Sir?" I asked Mr. Kim as I tried to stay professional.
"Very good, thank you. I would wish the same thing to you but I can already tell you are more than just very good." He answered. He grab his small cup and his secretary immediately came to pour his drink.
"What we see on the outside won't always apply on the inside, Sir." I said truthfully with a fake smile on my face. Not gonna lie, his words kind of stab me in a way.
He took a sip of his tea while his eyes trying to read me. It was intimidating but I won't lose to his unspoken test.
"I always knew you are something, but not to this extent." He said after he put down his cup. "My initial reason to meet Haebi Corp owner is to see the true intention behind the interest to invest in JW Group. And I can see it very well now."
"May I ask what you see, Sir?"
"Tell me Haruto, is it not enough for you to trampled Junkyu down? So much so you wants to give him a hard time after he move to JW Group?" He asked as a father and not as a Chairman. Wait, move to JW Group? Huh?
I shot my head to Seungjoo. He gave me a look that saying he knows nothing about it. I turned my head back to Mr. Kim.
"Apologize Sir. What do you mean by Junkyu move to JW Group?" I asked, dumbfounded by the new information.
Mr. Kim looked as confused. "You own quite an amount of our subsidiaries shares yet you haven't heard the news?" He asked. I clenched my fists under the table. No, he can't do this to Junkyu Hyung.
He turned to look at his secretary. "The transition process took longer than expected Sir. I believe it's still confidential at the moment. Our subsidiaries BOD not yet make announcement to their shareholders." Said Park Ahjussi.
"Where is Junkyu now? Isn't he supposed to get his legal discussion done by now?" Asked Mr. Kim.
Park Ahjussi took a quick glance at me before he answered, "I believe he's in the middle of a meeting with Mr. Finn Müller for JW Hotel & Resort Germany investment plan as per your request. He will have another discussion with Legal later at 5PM. His schedule is a bit tight and with his ch- " He paused and took another quick glance at me. Huh? With his what?
