Keying's picnic with chu ran. Sunday.

Slowly it registered into Jiang yuelou's brain but he still clung on.

"But..I don't want you to leave." Jiang yuelou murmured in to the others shoulders.

Chen yuzhi turned his face towards him, eyes tender and adoring as he smiled at him.

Jiang yuelou pleaded at him with his eyes until yuzhi laughed at him softly.

"Fine. Fine." He agreed, forfeiting to his implores, "Just a few more minutes."

And he turned around fully, pulling them back onto the bed. He brought the sheets around them as he pressed on to the other.

Jiang yuelou curled up to him, hiding his face into his chest and yuzhi's chin rested on top of his head. Smiles graced their faces and gradually sleep took over them both.

When he woke, after what felt like a brief blink, the light outside was brighter and the bed was empty next to him.

The curtains were drawn apart, illuminating the details of the room. The light wood furniture and the beige accented decor seemed to glow in the light.

It had been half a year since they had been together. They had made home in Jiang yuelou's place together.

He sighed, drowsy and content.

Sometimes it felt like a dream. Some far away illusion that would slip from his hand any moment.

Reaching out his hand, he pressing down on where yuzhi was laying down earlier, grasping the sheet, chasing the remnant warmth.

He chose to freshen up before he spent the entire day in the room.

He got up, making his way to the bathroom. Methodically he followed his morning routine, movement sluggish with sleep.

Jiang yuelou looked at himself in the mirror. He looked brighter now, eyes almost devoid of the darkness that used to lurk. Much less dark circles than he used to have.

He shook his head, resuming to wash his face.

He was done soon enough, wiping his damp face, standing at the foot of the bed. It hadn't been made yet. So he set himself to tidy up the pillows and sheets, flattening the creases and letting out a satisfied huff when it was finished.

Jiang yuelou was appreciating his work when yuzhi's head peeped into the room.

"Finally awake?" He voiced, entering the room, softly as usual, smiling towards him.

He nodded.

"Good morning" Jiang yuelou said, returning the smile.

"Good morning." Chen yuzhi replied, making his way over to yuelou, hands going round his waist and puling him into a loose hug. He pressed his lips to his cheek and Jiang yuelou tried not to melt into a puddle right that instant.

Because this was a normal occurrence. They'd wake up to each other and they'd greet each other and they'd hug and kiss and be in love. No matter how unreal it felt, this was how it was now and Jiang yuelou should be used to it.

He wasn't.

"Did you make breakfast?" He asked, voice breathy.

"Yup I made breakfast" chen yuzhi answered, "It's your favourite tangyuan. Keying is already there and I came to call you."

"Oh tangyuan. Thank you yuzhi" Jiang yuelou said, his own arms around the other's body, suddenly aware of how hungry he felt.

"Well, I'd make you anything you want" chen yuzhi replied with a smile.
