Chapter 11

"Yeah. The Supreme Leader has told Kylo it's time I did."

"And then, then you're set to take on the Scavenger if she comes at you again. You've worked hard, your Midichlorians are all but healed. Your strength is incredible. You got this. Maybe it's time to ease back on the R&D department? You are more than a Major, Red. You have a more important path now."

"I'll speak to Kylo." You said, more as a way to stop Ap'lek worrying.

"Ummhmm." He knew what you were doing.

"Shut it." You were starting to find this Force Bond annoying. You really needed to work on being able to shut people out subconsciously. It used to be you had to learn to keep your barriers down subconsciously just so you could work with the Force. Now you found yourself wanting to be more closed off, more often. The way you kept people out before had been your Midichlorians protecting you whilst you were unable to access the Force. Hiding you from danger. Now, you were all but healed so keeping people out was a simple skill you'd never had to learn before. It was a little backwards.

He laughed, and you nudged him. You must have made for quite a sight, the First Order Major in your black, modified uniform with red curls giggling at the masked Knight of Ren that looked like the Grim Reaper with an axe. You were awaiting Lily returning from her inspection, it was her first time doing that job, and you had entrusted her to do a good job. It was a good factory, you'd already checked it the week before, so Lily was just counter checking, practicing.

You suddenly heard shouting, and looked at Ap'lek, "How do they keep finding us?"

"There's a leak somewhere. No one knew you were coming to Naboo except Kylo, Hux, the Supreme Leader, us Knights and whoever you told. There's a spy." He grabbed your arm and began marching back toward your transport ship, "Time to go. Lily or not, Red."

"We can't just leave her!"

"YOU are my priority. You are what they are here for. You leave, the attack stops right?"

You looked at him, considering his words, 'you leave, the attacks stop.' You nodded, and walked with him quickly toward the Transport. Just as you reached it, there was blaster fire. You pulled out a vibroblade and a blaster, "It's her."

You couldn't explain it, you just knew. It was obvious it was the Resistance attacking, but you could just feel Rey was here. Ap'lek and you made your way to the transport, Rey, and the man you now knew as Finn were running toward you, flanked with Resistance fighters. You fired your blaster, and Ap'lek engaged with them, cutting them down like they were nothing.

Rey stopped in front of you, "All this can stop if you come with us. We can't let anyone else fall to the Dark Side. All of this will stop. These are rescue missions, Nova. You were never given a choice, only shown the Dark Side of the Force. The wrong side. Come with us now. It's the only way."

Over her shoulder you saw blaster fire at Ap'lek, you raised your hand and stopped the blaster shots. "Ap'lek!!"

Rey raised her own hand and you felt your hold on the blaster fire wavering, she was pushing for it to hit Ap'lek.

"NO!"

Ap'lek ran for the Transport seeing that you were close, he knew you could both make it aboard and get the hell out of there, and you tried to hold onto the blaster fire, but Rey pushed it, Ap'lek managed to miss most of it, taking on shot to the shoulder or his chest, you couldn't make out where it was, you could only sense that he was bleeding and he was in pain. He got aboard the Transport, and you looked at Rey, "I will not go with you. So stop trying. I am loyal to Kylo. He's my Master. My Commander. My friend."
