(So, I lied.. I am so sorry I wrote the first part of this chapter so easily and it all came together in my head, but right in the middle of writing this chapter, WRITER'S BLOCK DESIDES TO RUIN MY DAY! I had writer's block for months and I apologize for that. Now I am back on track and I will try to write more often after I finish school for the day. Please enjoy this chapter and I do accept constructive criticism, so please let me know what you think and what I can work on.)

Ezran's POV

Dad walks through the door with the physician following behind. "Please help him," I beg as fear for my brother's health washes over me. The physician walks over to Callum and places a hand on his forehead.

"His fever is extremely high and needs to be brought down soon." he instructs. My father nods and asks a servant to go get some cold water, a rag, and other cold compresses to help bring the fever down. "Can you both please step out for a moment I would like to respect the Prince's privacy while I try to find the cause of his fever." the physician asks.

"Of course," my father responds, "Come Ezran." I look back at Callum hesitant to leave him. "He will be alright, and you will be back at his side before you know it." dad reassures. I nod, following my dad out into the hallway outside the door, and wait.

Physician's POV

I look at the young prince before me with sympathy as I peel off his damp shirt full of sweat. My brows furrow. Why is his torso, wrists, and ankles wrapped in bloody bandages, I wonder. Unwrapping the bandage on his left wrist I see bruises covering his wrist with the skin around rubbed raw and irritated indicating he put up a struggle. It looks as if a chain was around it, but where did it come from? I unwrap and look at the other wrist and both ankles to see they are in the same condition. "Poor child," I murmur. Sighing I unwrap the bloody bandage around his torso. Horrified by what I see, bruises covering his entire torso a large open wound from his pelvic bone to his navel with black veins surrounding it had formed. Dark magic was at play. "What happened to you, my poor child. I can't imagine how much you are suffering." I whisper. Blood oozes from the wound as infection begins to set in. I work to clean all his wounds before I stitch up the one on his torso. Rewrapping the wounds and placing a new shirt on him, I sigh. I must tell the king, I think. I put the cool rag on the prince's forehead and the cold compresses under his arms in order to lower the fever. Turning to walk away a weak hand grabs my arm.

"Please don't tell," a voice rasps. I face the person behind me to see the prince weakly holding my wrist with his eyes barely open to slits. I begrudgingly nod my head assuring him I would not tell. He falls back asleep, and I turn around to open the door for the King and Prince Ezran to come back inside.

Ezran's POV

When we walked into the room the physician's face was grim. "Is he going to be ok," I quickly ask.

"He should be fine," The physician responds, "But I would like to check on him every few hours. He has a terrible infection, and his fever is extremely high. Make sure to keep the cold rag on his head along with the cold compresses under his arms, change them out when they get warm in order to attempt to bring his fever down. I need to get medication for the infection and fever, so I will be right back." he ends leaving the room. I slowly walk up to Callum and rest my hand on top of his. Dark purple bruises are under his eyes making it seem as though he has not slept in days. I glace up at my father and when my eyes meet his I see his face contorted in worry as he stares down at my brother.  "What happened? He was fine this morning." I question.
