"Yeah, he's a good buddy." She quickly tells him making me look down with a smile.

"What about any of these other yahoos in town? Anybody interest you two?" He asks starting a conversation.

Bella smiles looking down and then back to her dad.

"Dad, we gonna talk about boys?" She asks trying to change the subject making me laugh as I take a bite of my food.

"Yeah. I guess not." He says awkwardly also laughing.

"I just um... feel like I leave you alone too much. That's why I'm happy you got Y/n to hang out with." He tells her making me smile at his kind words.

"I don't really mind belong alone, and all I need is Y/n honestly. I guess I'm kind of like my dad in that way." She says making me add along jokingly.

"Same. Bella's the only company I need to be content."

He smiles at this before we finish our meal.

Later that night after dinner I was up in my room laying in my bed reading when I heard a knock.

"Yeah?" I ask.

My door opens and I see my dad walk in, he's home earlier than usual.

"Hey sweetie."

"Hi dad?" I say wondering what he wants.

He comes and sits on the end of my bed before saying "Hey, I know I've been working late recently. I just want to talk, just me and you for a bit if you want...." He stops before chuckling and then saying.

"I remember, when you were little and I'd get home. You'd run to the door yelling for me and then talked a mile and minute trying to tell me everything about your day. I guess, I just miss that."

I smile and say "Well, your busy and I get that. Plus my life's not as interesting as it used to be."

Though I did decide to leave out the whole discovering the existence of vampires thing.

"You're always interesting to me. I just can't believe how much you've grown." He tells me and I laugh.

"We'll, that does happen." I say with a small laugh.

He pays my leg before saying "So, down to business. Your mom can't keep a secret for nothing you know. Who's this boy I heard her talking to her friend on the phone about?"

I immediately throw my head back at this.

"Dad!"

He laughs "What? I can't be curious?"

"No, but you can't be trying to come up with a plan to scare him away." I say joining his laugh.

"Alright, I'll leave you be. Goodnight."

"Night dad." I say and watch as he leaves the room.

What's with dads wanting to know about boys today?

I lay back down but gasp nearly jumping out of my skin as i see a figure in a corner suddenly.

"What the fuck Thomas!" I exclaim lowly making him laugh as I throw a pillow at him.

He easily catches it before putting it on my bed again.

"How did you even get in?" I ask as I walk over to him.

"The window." He states simply.

"Do you do that a lot, because if so that's creepy." I say making him laugh as he looks down.

"Only these past couple of months...I just like to know your safe. When your not with me I'm on edge. Especially with those rouge vampires getting closer." He explains.

"So, your dad thinks he can scare me away. I'd like to see him try." He says cockily with a smirk.

"You heard that?" I ask with an embarrassing smile.

"That kind of happens when you have super hearing, you hear everything even when you don't want to." He says with a small smile.

"I'm still not used to that." I say sometimes forgetting he's got basically super powers in a way.

"I forget myself sometimes, and then I come back to reality." He says lowly.

I can sense he was a bit upset so I grab his hand and pull him down to my bed before hugging him closely.

"Though, every time I'm with you, I feel normal." He says holding my close.

I pull away and look up to him.

"I don't like normal, I like you. All of you and everything you are." I say to him pushing his hair from his forehead making he smile softly.

"I don't know what I ever did to deserve you." He says almost in a whisper before we both lean closer to each other until our lips connect.

It's soft and sweet with my hand on his neck and his hand on my cheek.

It gets a bit more heated as we lean back into my bed and it turns into a full make out until he pulls away suddenly.

I stare up to him as he says "Sorry."

"Don't be, I liked it." I say making him smile.

"I just don't want to loose control with you." He says reminding me of his dominant side that he fights to control because of him being a vampire.

"You won't." I say to him softly.

"Still, I'd rather take things slow. Please." He says making me nod.

"As long as you promise to still hold me, kiss me, and love me. I can wait a while." I say making him grin.

"That, I can do." He says with a smirk making me giggle as he leans back down on top of me and then places kisses on my face before I push him away.

"Oh, but you can be cheeky?" I ask at what he previously just said about going slow.

"Okay, I might be a hypocrite sometimes, but hey, with you everything goes out the window. It's like I loose all sense." He says with a smile as he lays done next to me.

I turn my head and look to him with a serious face.

"Don't go."

He looks to me and says "Never."

I then get under the covers and he says down next to me and we talk for what seems hours until I start getting a bit tired.

He stands grabbing a book from my shelf before reading it out to me softly.

After a while my eyes got heavy and my breathing slowed down, the last thing I remembered was feeling him kiss my forehead as he then laid his head on top of mine
