XVI

Sasuke watched as Naruto ran with the mist rising and blocking his view of the orange jumper wearing idiot.

"Where's the boy who wears this jacket?"
Sasuke snapped his head over to see a masked man holding Narutos torn orange jacket up.

...What?

—

"Inari please go upstairs!"
"N-no!" Inari held his shaking arm out with a spatula giving him an extra length.

The bandits laughed before pulling their own swords out with a sinister look. Tsunami grabbed onto Inaris shoulders as his body shook violently.
The two went to attack the pipsqueak but were kicked in the head, making them fall.

"Say hi to your grandmother fuckers."
Their own swords pierced through their hearts, killing them almost instantly.
Naruto picked them up and threw them over the dock before kneeling in front of Inari.
"Is there somewhere safe you two can go?"
Inari looked up at his mother. "Yes.. Kaiza had built a bunker."
"Go there, I'll come get you when all of this is over."
Naruto poked Inaris chest before disappearing in red petals. Tsunami quickly picked Inari up but he stopped her.
"I have an idea."

Naruto appeared behind the others to see Mizo and Sasuke trapped in an ice prison with Mito and Sakura watching in front of Tazuna. Itachi and Kakashi were fighting Zabuza who didn't let them go help the other two.
Minato was.. no where to be seen like always.

Naruto jumped down and grabbed one of the ropes. He ran and jumped onto the top ice mirror, almost slipping but he caught his balance easy enough.
He tied knots on the rope quickly and threw it through one of the larger cracks.

"Grab on!"
Mizo and Sasuke looked over. They ran and went to grab onto the rope but a flash of gray pulled the rope into one of the mirrors.. and Naruto went with it.
"Ah!"

Naruto slid on the icy ground before jumping to his feet, the rope now severed from his wrist.

"Is this your jacket?" The ninjas voice rang.
Naruto looked behind him to see the ninja holding up the orange jacket Naruto had slipped out of to help Kakashi when Sasuke wouldn't let him. Naruto clenched his fists.

"If you want to fight me than fight me but let my teammates go!"

Their surroundings shifted before Naruto made eye contact with Sasuke.

"How about I just kill you all."
Naruto eyes widened when a senbon needle pierced his spine.
"Naruto!"

Sasuke tried to throw a kunai but it only clinked off of the ice, landing on the floor useless.
Naruto groaned in pain when another needle entered beside his shoulder blade.

"I'm disappointed, how you defeated Zabuza made me think you were a challenge."
"Kit you have to stay Genin level." Kurama reminded.
'The bitch is making it hard'
Another senbon needle entered Narutos leg. Naruto grabbed the ninjas arm and turned around. He kicked them away, though much like with Inari not holding Narutos hand on water, he fell through the ice without the ninja having physical contact with him.

Narutos eyes widened as the senbon needles were pushed almost all the way through his spine, leg and shoulder. His body shook as feeling slowly left.
Sasuke ran to Naruto quickly on the senbon needle scattered floor. He grabbed Narutos hand and pulled him into a sitting position as Narutos henge began to fall.

"Out... get them out."
Naruto coughed with the feeling of breathing becoming harder.

Sasuke ripped Narutos jacket and black shirt off of him before grabbing the senbon needle in his spine.

"Naruto you need to keep breathing."
"Trying.." Naruto shook furiously as he felt Sasuke begin to pull the senbon needle out.

Mizo watched in fear and rounded to get a look at Naruto but Sasuke covered his eyes. Naruto yelled out when Sasuke finally got the needle out.

"Mizo the enemy!" Sasuke yelled.
"What?"

Mizo appeared behind Sasuke as Naruto blocked the senbon needles coming with his kunai. The kunai dropped from Narutos hands and Sasuke grabbed back onto the senbon needle in Narutos shoulder.
Mizo watched as Sasuke slowly pulled out and Naruto clenched his hand over his shoulder.

Sasuke put his shirt over Naruto and put him on his fours.

"I'd so make a joke if you weren't.." Naruto groaned. "Hurting me." He finished with a growl.
"Hn."
"Dirty bitch."
"Hn."
"Yeah and I'm proud of it. Son of a bitch!"

Sasuke threw the senbon needle and helped Naruto stand on his numb leg.

"I guess the rescue mission failed."
"Hn."
"That's good to know."

Mizo looked at them confused.
Naruto pulled Mizo behind him with his henge coming back up.

The rounds came after as Sasuke and Naruto tried to block them the best they could with Mizo frozen on what to do in the middle.
Naruto blocked a last senbon needle and held his numb shoulder.

"Why? You're supposed to be paralyzed!"
Another round came at Naruto..
but this time his numb body didn't react quick enough. Sasuke was there in seconds, his back to the needles with Naruto in his arms.

Sasukes eyes widened with them closing in pain. As soon as the needles stopped coming, they fell backward.
Narutos hands shook with Sasuke shakily breathing on his lap.

"T-there are so many."
Naruto tried to pull one out of Sasukes arm but he stopped him.
"Don't.. don't."
Naruto looked down to see Sasukes sharingan activated.
"No.. no but I can."
Sasuke shook his head and laid his arm on Narutos thigh. Naruto felt as Sasukes breathing slowly came to a stop and his weight laid completely on Narutos lap.

A jingle rang from the air and Narutos eyes quickly took the color of Kuramas.

"No. No no no."
"Kit. Kit it's in your head!" Kurama quickly yelled.

Naruto covered his ears as the jingle got louder. He snapped his eyes close with tears building up.

Jingle. Jingle.

"No. No no no no no. No stop it!"

Time slowed as the ice shattered into dust but sped as Naruto opened his bloody red eyes.
