His very life energy and warmth had spread throughout the nation. He protected everyone by doing so and even went so far as to share a part of himself with each person. 

The village felt so serene.

 Tsunade had officially recovered and passed the hat on to Kakashi.

He would be the next Hokage.

You were quietly sitting by the stream listening to the peaceful sounds of the water. You held your knees to your chest as you waited in thought.

You and everyone had been through a lot..

You didn't know how to feel.. it was strange.

"Lost in thought again?" Someone asked.

You hadn't even sensed that he'd shown up.

You hesitantly glanced over your shoulder then went back to looking at the river.

"May I sit with you?" You heard his steps drawing in.

You nodded feeling as he closely joined next to you.

He brought his knees up similar to you and stared out at the river.

After a while you glanced his way from the side.

"I've been meaning to speak with you" he stated.

Every time he said things like that it never ended up being good.

He could feel you react.

Just as quickly his hand warmly placed over top yours.

You looked at him frozen by it.

"It's nothing like before." he reassured as your heart started racing.

 "I'm... here for you now" he admitted while looking forward.

You were still a little uncertain of what he meant. You didn't want any misunderstandings..

"I haven't been completely honest with you and I'm sorry for it" he continued.

His hand ever so slightly squeezed yours.

"Whatever this is between us, I want to move forward with you.."

You looked at him in disbelief as he turned to you.

A small tear went down your cheek and he gently lifted his hand wiping it away.

The way he touched you, it felt so warm and natural.

"I give you my word. I'll be here for you" he stated firmly.

You were processing it a bit as he gave your hand another squeeze.

"I'll give you some time to think about it" he mentioned standing up to leave.
