"What exactly are these Gifts of Destiny, Miss Faragonda?" I asked, my tone measured, though a hint of curiosity slipped through. "And how are they supposed to help us defeat Diana?"
Miss Faragonda's expression softened, as though amused by my understated approach. "I won't spoil the surprise. You'll find out soon enough. In fact, your answers are arriving right now."
Before I could prod further, a surge of energy coursed through the room, powerful and ancient. It pressed against my senses, heavy yet exhilarating. I narrowed my eyes as three distinct presences began to materialize.
Nabu's voice broke the silence, a low murmur of awe. "This... This is ancient magic. And it's unbelievably strong."
"Fascinating," I muttered, more to myself than anyone else, my gaze fixed as three luminous beings coalesced before us. Fairies—but unlike any we'd seen before.
"Who are you?" Flora asked, her tone reverent.
The green fairy stepped forward, her form shimmering like sunlight through leaves. "We are the Ethereal Fairies, beings of pure energy, born before the dawn of time."
"It is your destiny to protect Earth," the yellow fairy added, her voice calm but resolute. "And it is our destiny to aid you."
"The Gifts of Destiny will amplify your magic," the blue fairy explained, her tone as cool and serene as her aura. "These gifts represent an evolution of Believix, empowering you to face the superior strength of the Warrior Fairies."
"Great," I remarked dryly, crossing my arms. "More power for more problems. Let's hear it."
The green fairy smiled faintly, undeterred. "These gifts are mission-bound. Each challenge will bring forth a new gift tailored to your needs."
With a graceful gesture, seven radiant flowers appeared before us, their petals glowing with an otherworldly light. One drifted toward me, its soft luminescence bathing my face in a calming glow.
"The first gift is the Gift of Wisdom, known as Sophix," the yellow fairy announced. "It will guide you through the perils and obstacles of the Amazon."
"And each of you will receive a unique aspect of Sophix," the blue fairy added, her gaze meeting mine. "[Name], your gift is the Purifying Dragon."
As the flower melded into me, my aura flared a brilliant blue, the energy soothing yet invigorating. I exhaled slowly, the corners of my lips tugging upward. "Not bad," I murmured, flexing my fingers to feel the shift in power.
The blue fairy continued. "Bloom, your gift is Eternal Flame. Flora, Second Nature. Stella, Guiding Light. Musa, Beautiful Harmony. Tecna, Higher Order. And Layla, Vital Beat."
