The tunnel felt claustrophobic as we flew deeper into its depths, the vibrations of the collapsing cave echoing in the air. There was a sharp tension as the ground trembled beneath us, a palpable reminder that time was running out.
"Sounds like a battle," Stella muttered, her sharp eyes scanning ahead.
"They're just up ahead," I said, my voice steady but laced with a quiet determination. I wasn't one for impulsive moves—this wasn't some chaotic frenzy. The situation had a way of calling for patience, and I was more than willing to wait for the right moment. "We're close."
We pressed forward, the energy around us growing heavier with each passing second. Finally, we arrived, only to find Layla and Nebula, lying defeated on the ground, their powers completely drained, their expressions weary but determined.
"[Name]!" Layla grinned weakly when she saw us, her voice tinged with relief. "Girls!"
"We've got your back," I said, my tone calm but filled with certainty. I extended my hand to her, my gaze unwavering. Layla reached for it with a grateful smile, allowing me to pull her up.
"No one messes with our girl!" Stella added, her voice warm with the promise of protection.
"Let's make a run for it!" Anagan urged, his eyes darting nervously.
"No way!" Ogron snapped, his voice cold and unforgiving. The three Wizards had regrouped, forming a circle, their dark magic swirling dangerously. "You'll never escape."
"Believix Magic Convergence!" A protective barrier surrounded us, our combined powers colliding with theirs. But they were strong, their magic intense—stronger than I had anticipated. The impact sent Stella flying back, and without missing a beat, Roxy joined the convergence.
"Roxy, be careful!" Stella shouted as Layla rushed to help her up.
"You'll need me too!" Layla said firmly, her resolve matching our own. She joined the magical barrier with us, her presence a welcome addition.
I closed my eyes, my focus sharpening as I poured everything I had left into the convergence. My strength was waning, exhaustion creeping in with every passing second. The weight of the battle bore down on me, but there was no time for weakness. We had to win this.
Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nebula. She stood beside me, her eyes heavy with regret, yet her smile was soft. Without a word, she reached out, extending her hand toward me. A silent agreement passed between us. We had one final chance.
With all of our strength combined, we unleashed one last burst of magic, overwhelming the Wizards. The ice formed around them, encasing them in a glowing prison. The battle was over.
