"Alright! Cool! I'll text you guys when I'm out of here!"

We pull ourselves away and walk out of the crowded building, I can already see the Starbucks sign three blocks away. I keep my hands in my pockets and watch my feet, my combat boots loose around my ankles.

The walk there is chilly and crowded, the sidewalks are all salted even though the snow is lightly falling from the sky. I should have dressed warmer, I'm cold. Andy keeps his hand around mine and that's the only warmth I feel.

"Did you plan that?" I ask quietly, not bothering to look up at him.

"Yes and no." He squeezes my hand gently. "I was already planning on taking you here and when I saw his art show, I knew we had to visit. You aren't too mad are you?"

I laugh and shake my head. "I could never be mad at you. I just...I don't know if I was ready."

"I figured if I gave you a heads up you'd try to run or something. I didn't want to fucking ruin it and scare you off," he chuckles. "The other night, you were so sad, talking about him. I had already found where he lives and he's actually not even far from us. He lives over in LA, you could see him any time your little heart desires."

"Babe, I don't know, he hasn't even tried to contact me and it's been so long..."

"At least give him a chance to tell you his side, alright? You never know what the fuck he went through too. He looked so happy when he saw it was you, Remi...you must have been close."

"Yeah, yeah we were, it's just that whole year when my family found out...Andy it was awful. So much happened that I've never told anyone, I don't know if I want to relive any of it."

"I'll be here, every second of it babe unless if you don't want me there. It'll be okay love."

I look up to see that we finally reached the Starbucks and Andy opens the door for me, ushering my frozen icicle self inside. We both head to the line and look over the menu...I haven't had coffee in awhile. Or Starbucks for that matter.

"What do you want love?"

"Um...hm....a hot chai latte pretty please?"

Andy kisses my head and steps up to the cashier when it's his turn.

"One grande hot Chai latte, one tall vanilla cappuccino, and two birthday cake pops please."

He is always talking about these damn cake pops here. I've never had them so I wouldn't know. He pays and we walk back to a table by the window, sitting down comfortably. I can't help but watch all the people walk by, so many lives out there. Are they all happy? What do they hide?

I hear a click and I look forward, Andy has his phone out and taking pictures. "Oh my god stop! I'm ugly!"

"Shut the fuck up you crazy man," he chuckles. "You are the most beautiful man I've ever seen."

My cheeks are flushed and I quickly cover my face with my hands, ugh the way this man makes me feel inside. Actually wanted.

"Andy and Dante?"

"Oh fuck off!" I yell at my boyfriend who is laughing at me. I grab the two hot drinks and the bag of sweets, throwing the bag of cake pops at him.

"Jerk face," I mutter at him, taking a small sip of the chai. "Ohhhh wow," I moan quietly, closing my eyes. "It's been so damn long."

"Here, try this, it's even better." Andy hands me this big pink sprinkled ball on a stick and I look at it all around, it's fucking heavy for a small thing! I watch him as he takes a small bite, oh it looks like a creamy little cake! I nibble the outside and break through the hard outside and holy shit, oh my god, sweet baby Jesus. This is amazing.
