14. Homecoming

"What's done is done Tony. We're good now and we're together. Nothing else matters."

Tony gives another pained smile but nods and ushers them inside the compound. " Well, I got a team who want to see the Missus. Including a certain God of Sparkles."

"We aren't married yet Tony." Juliette giggles.

"Don't wait too long Cap, Sparkles just found out you two didn't get married when you were supposed too and you should have seen the way his eyes lit up." Tony warns, making Juliette blush and laugh. Steve grabs her hand and tugs her back against his side, slipping a massive protective arm over her shoulder and back.

"First a lunatic ex-boyfriend and now the King of Asgard. I'm never letting you out of the house again."

"Good thing I only have eyes for you Captain." They smile at each other until Tony cuts off the moment.

"You two are as disgusting as ever I see." He rolls his eyes. "Just a heads up, the only one not here is Barton. He's gone off the grid after Laura and the kids snapped."

"Well that explains why he hasn't been answering his phone." Juliette sighs as they enter the elevator to the living quarters.

She'd tried to be there for him, tried reaching out right after the snap and a few times since. She may have still been hurt about what happened with her and Steve, but that didn't mean she didn't look into everyone's survival... or snapping.

The elevator door opens relieving a small room with a single door on the wall opposite the elevator. As if serves a barrier between the Avengers and the rest of the world. She sighs and squeezes Steve's hand.

"I'm right here baby."

Juliette nods and lets Steve lead her out of the elevator to the door where Tony is scanning his thumb.

"Security is a little different since you were last here." Tony looks over his shoulder at Juliette. "But all your old clearances have been reinstated. You shouldn't have any issues accessing anything. Your room is the same too."

The door swings open to the hallway that leads to the kitchen and other common areas, dinning room, living room, library and game room. A set of metal stairs leads to the bedroom suites.

"We aren't moving in Tony, just visiting." Juliette states with a bit of annoyance. "At least I thought we were." She shoots Steve a glare that could melt ice.

He shrugs while chuckling and swats her ass. Making her yelp.

Tony rolls his eyes again at the display of affection. He may act annoyed by them, but in reality Tony blames himself for Steve staying away, after the disagreement over the Accords, the issue with Bucky and the fight in Germany and again in Siberia. He's the reason they didn't just celebrate their second wedding anniversary.

He's happy to see them so happy despite the world keeping them apart.

"Is that my best girl?" Thor bellows from the kitchen, having heard Juliette's sarcastic tone. Juliette's eyes light up and she quickly looks up to Steve. He nods, giving her the go ahead.

Juliette takes off down the hall at a run, she skids into the open kitchen, launching herself into Thor's embrace. He laughs deeply and spins her around the open space between the counters.

She squeals in delight, pressing her face against his throat. Inhaling his unique scent — fresh rain and heat. He does the same, burying his face in her blond hair while holding the back of her head, clinging to her.

"Hi beautiful." He kisses her temple before setting her down on her feet. Thor's reaction to seeing Juliette brought the rest of the team into the kitchen. Each waiting patiently for their turn to greet Julie.
