He snickered.

“Maggie, go. Seriously.” He said.

I rested my head on his shoulder.

“What am I going to do though?” I asked.

“What are you talking about? Just go make up with him…” Noah said.

“I don’t think you realize how hard that is. I can’t just go up to him and be like ‘sup man’.” I said.

Noah shook his head, and lifted my head off his shoulder.

“You don’t get it, do you?” He asked.

“I’m trying so hard to get what you’re saying, Noah…” I said.

He sighed, and stood right in front of me.

He bent down a little to reach my height, so he could look into my eyes properly.

“Listen to me, and listen to me good because I’m only going to say this once.” He said.

I nodded my head.

“I’m listening.” I said.

“You don’t just give up on the people you love.” He said.

I shook my head.

“Noah, you don’t understand…” I said.

“Don’t understand what?” He asked.

“HE walked away from ME.” I said.

“You let him.” He said.

It was silent for a while.

And then, I started crying again.

This time, it was the type of cry where you can’t control it. Where your breathing gets heavy and you’re basically choking on your own tears.

I covered my eyes with my hands and just sobbed.

Noah immediately pulled me into a hug.

One of those hugs where one person has their arms wrapped around you, tight. But, you’re not hugging back. You’re just standing there, or sitting there, whatever you’re doing, and you feel so comfy and safe, and for that time period that you’re in that person’s arms, everything feels alright, it just feels alright for a couple minutes.

Maybe he didn’t understand why I was crying, but maybe I didn’t understand either.

Maybe they were happy tears, I don’t know. I don’t think I’ll ever know.

The feeling I have right now is just…weird.

I have no way to control it either.

Eventually I stopped.

Noah let go of me immediately after he knew I stopped.

“Are you ok now?” He asked.

I took a deep breath in and exhaled it slowly.

I nodded my head and smiled at him.

“I think I’m alright.” I said.

Noah smiled.

I smiled wider at his smile.

Suddenly, Cody came out of nowhere.

He stood in front of us, and ran his fingers through his hair.

He chuckled for a second, and then his face got serious again.

“Um, who are you?” He asked, pointing at Noah.
