He didn't care if she didn't turn up.

Eden doubted he even knew she existed.

This gave the girl the perfect time to hide from Ms Kelly.

She knew her parents had contacted the school counsellor at the beginning of the year, hoping it would help the girl.

But Eden couldn't think of anything worse than talking to the patronising woman about her problems.

About him.

Which meant every other day a week the girl would have to hide so the women couldn't find her.

She knew third period on those days was the time Ms Kelly kept free for Eden's counselling sessions.

And she also knew the women came to her third-period lessons on said days looking for her.

She wasn't sure why she never came to find her outside of that time period but she wouldn't complain.

This is why third period on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Eden would skip lessons to hide in the woods.

Walking out of the door to the back fields, Eden used the sports hall as cover before walking the edge of the carpark and making a break for the woods.

Sliding through the gap in the fence, the brunette let out a sigh of relief at her successful escape.

She knew she was probably being dramatic.

No one really cared what she did anymore.

Eden walks down the small hill to the familiar bench.

The bench sat in a small opening in the woods.

She was not sure how it had gotten there, all she knew was that Billy had found it in his first week and it had soon become their hang out spot when they didn't want to publically show they were friends.

A small smile grew on the girl's face at the sight of the carving in the tree behind the bench.

The names Eden and Billy were engraved messily into the tree bark, the lines broken and uneven.

"What are you doing?" Eden giggled as she lay on the bench on her back, her head resting on one side as she watched Billy face a tree that stood a few metres opposite the bench.

"You'll see," the boy says ominously.

"You're so weird"  the girl grinned as her eyes glazed over the fluffy clouds floating above.

"You're so weird" she heard Billy mumble back mockingly, continuing to do whatever he was doing.

Eden continued to watch the sky for a few moments, nearly falling asleep a couple of times.

"Dee come over here," The Hargrove boy says, turning to look at his best friend, a small smile resting on his face when he sees her lying back on the bench with her hair hanging off the edge of it.

"Ughh why I'm comfy" the girl groans, her eyes shut blissfully

"God you're such a dork" Billy comments, parading over to the girl.

"What are you-" Eden asks, side-eyeing the boy.

Her words are cut off however by Billy wrapping his hands around her wrist and literally pulling her off the bench.

"Oh you piece of shit" the dark haired girl curses as she falls on her arse.

"Stop being dramatic" Billy smirks, standing over the girl with his hands on his waist.

"Stop being dramatic" Eden mocks back as she stands up, brushing the mud off of her jeans.

"This all could have been avoided if you had just done what I said"

"Sorry I don't do everything you say like every other girl in this godforsaken school"  Eden replies, as the pair walk over to the tree Billy was previously at.

"Shut up, we both know you're just jealous of them" Billy smirks, resting a cigarette between his lips.

"You wish Hargrove, now what did you get me up for?" the girl smirks, watching as Billy stands next to the tree.

"Here you go,"  Billy says, handing over his pocket knife.

"Are you finally letting me cut your mullet? You know scissors would probably be better for this" Eden teases, standing on her tiptoes to pat his head mockingly.

"Piss off," The boy says in response, recoiling jokingly from her touch. "Go on then" he continues, nodding over to the tree.

Eden's eyes switch to it, more specifically to the scratchy carving of  'Billy' cut into the wood.

"What do you want me to do?" she asks obliviously.

"Carve your name into it dingus"

"You the dingus for carving your name into it, it's pretty much just telling people who've done it" the girl mutters, stepping up to the tree to begin to carve her name into the tree.

Eden brushes off the memory, quickly wiping the stray tear that had fallen down her face.

She steps up to the tree, delicately brushing her fingers over the carved words, the small smile still resting on her face.

"Walker?" a voice calls out from behind her, causing her to recoil her hand quickly and turn around.

A/N

I know the flashback was probably a bit drawn out for what it was but I wanted to add a small peak into the relationship Billy and Eden had.

Also I'm aware that there is another Eden in the show but as far as I know she's wont be a previlant character in V.2 or the next season so i'm not too worried about.

Ty sm for the reads and votes means alot <3

I will try and update more consistantly but I have exams coming up so i'm not sure how much I will be able to.

Remember to vote and comment :)

Much love x
