Chapter Twenty-Four: Med Bay

Start from the beginning

Tumbling a little wasn't all that fun, but at least it wasn't nearly as bad as when they fell out of Bumblebee's holoform; that much she knew. Either way, Titaniumwrench was fine and back on her feet in moments, taking a quick look around the med bay to ensure everything was fine.

With Knockout having left the med bay, Titaniumwrench had assumed that either no one or maybe Shockwave would be inside. But Shockwave had Project Predacon to work on, so the odds of him being around weren't all that likely. And thankfully, Titaniumwrench was right. No one else was here. No vehicons, no Decepticon scientists. Only one other bot was in the room, and that bot was Starjinx.

Upon confirming the two were alone, Titaniumwrench immediately darted to her bedside, holoform no longer on so that she could get a better look. Her friend, thankfully, appeared to be unharmed, resting peacefully on the berth in what Titaniumwrench assumed was a stasis lock. Near the berth was a computer, one that seemed to be monitoring her vitals and processor activity. It was a lot of information, but Titaniumwrench felt she could possibly understand it. All she needed was some time, but first, she needed to alert her friends.

"Katrina? Smokescreen? It's Titanium," the femme started. "I'm at the med bay, and I found Jinx."

"That's great!" Katrina replied. "How is she?"

"We found Bumblebee and Sasori on our end," Smokescreen reported soon after. Ah. Things were going smoothly. Things were going great.

"Uh... She's stable. I think they induced stasis." Titaniumwrench then attempted to properly scan through the medical reports, picking up only that whatever was being monitored was primarily her processor. "Physically... Everything's fine."

"Awesome! Midnight, Bee, or Sasori can maybe carry her with us!" Katrina's chatter over the coms was then cut off for a moment, only for it to then fizzle back once more. "Midnight we haven't found yet, but Sasori said she was still in training. We're heading the rest of the way there now."

"Got i-" Titaniumwrench cut herself off the second she noticed muffled pedsteps approaching the med bay, pedsteps that she could actually pick out along with voices on the other side. Multiple Decepticons were heading this way, one being Knockout, the other... Megatron, and who knows who the third was. Either way, she didn't care about the third con's identity. Just Knockout coming back was a problem, and Megatron being there was even worse.

Switching her holoform back on, the femme quickly went and ducked behind a table for cover, not even bothering to poke her head out from behind to see who exactly was in the room. But she didn't need to see them to hear them speak. She didn't need to know what Knockout and Megatron looked like. All she needed was to keep her eyes on Starjinx, and that was exactly where they were heading.

"I've been monitoring her processor for a while now, and from what I can see, it appears the entire processor has finished rewriting itself," said Knockout, a smile in his voice as he pulled the other cons to view the diagnostics. "With everything stabilized and in working order, I can pull her out of stasis and have you quiz her yourselves!"

As Knockout gloated over whatever victory he thought he had, Shockwave, the third Decepticon, scanned through the medic's files to ensure he was correct. "...Your theory is logical," stated the scientist, only to then turn towards Knockout with that large red eye of his. "Albeit theoretical."

"Yes, well, this whole scenario is theoretical. Right, my liege?" the medic asked, looking to Megatron with a sly grin. However, that grin faltered a tad at Megatron's silence, the warlord staring at the diagnostics before looking to the two Decepticons.

"Bring her out of stasis." The order was clear, reaching Titaniumwrench's audios without a problem. They were waking Starjinx up? That was good! In a way. But the rewriting of the processor bit had her worried. More than worried. She remembered what Darkfin had said. That Megatron had tried to patch her and that things had gone south. But what... what would happen now? Either way, the femme was about to find out.

"Would you like to do the honors?" Knockout graciously bowed as he stepped aside, allowing Shockwave full access over the control panel and its monitors. Shockwave, while he did pause, stepped up to the plate in the end, typing away at the keyboard before finally hitting a few keys.

Silence fell over the room as the Quotevian's stasis was ended, the green and blue Decepticon laying peacefully against the berth. Knockout, meanwhile, had strapped her wrists down while Shockwave had worked, all waiting for her to finally stir. Unfortunate that this did block Titaniumwrench's view, but she didn't need her optics. Not for this one.

Eventually, a new voice rang out. Tired, groggy from such a long powerdown. But it was distinct, one that the hidden femme recognized. "Ugh... Where the Pit am I?"
