They gasped when they saw Madelyn.
"You're beautiful," Hailie said.
"Thank you," Madelyn smiled.
The music started and everyone got ready. The girls all filed down the aisle. Ashley gently squeezed her hand before she started down the aisle. Denaun took his place next to her and offered her his arm. She smiled and took it.
"There's still time to run," he joked.
"No, this is what I want," she said, chuckling.
He nodded. They stepped to the end of the aisle. She could see Marshall now and his jaw dropped when he saw her. She smiled softly. They reached the end of the aisle where Denaun was to put her hand in Marshall's. He hugged her gently and kissed her cheek.
"Go make my boy the happiest man on earth," he whispered in her ear.
She chuckled a bit. He hugged Marshall and said something to him as well. Marshall nodded to him. Denaun took Madelyn's hand and placed it in Marshall's. The two of them turned to face the minister. Marshall leaned slightly toward her.
"You look so beautiful," he said.
She looked over at him and smirked. She glanced at the girls. They all looked great. It was going to be an amazing day. She could feel it.
"We have gathered here today to join this couple," the minister began.
Madelyn zoned out momentarily. She repeated her vows on autopilot from the night before during rehearsal. It was only a few moments more that they were able to place the rings on each other's finger. Marshall breathed a sigh of relief after the ring was on her finger. She stared at it for a moment as he had custom rings made for them. She smiled and squeezed his hand. He watched in awe when she placed his ring on his finger. It didn't feel like a death sentence or like he had been caught. He was happy to have this ring on his hand.
