RHEA
The drive from home to school was kind of awkwardly silent because if we were to talk about something like how to live, the driver would hear it all. And there was no other topic to discuss in that very moment.
Our carriage was being drawn by two very beautiful black horses. I've always been fascinated by horses. I even learned how to ride for a few years. They're just so...magnificent. Also, I really liked the book, 'Black Beauty.' We had a horse that looked almost exactly like him back in the place I used to learn, and he was named Magic. He was my favourite horse, to be honest. He died a few years back, though.
Suddenly, the carriage halted and I jerked forward and almost fell. River really did fall. What were the carriage designers thinking, not including seatbelts!? What a safety hazard!
River sat up, trying not to look like he had just hit his head on the seat in front of ours (which was, thankfully, empty). He shot me a look. Don't. Laugh.
I laughed.
Come on, I'm his best friend! If I don't laugh at his most humiliating moments, who will?
RIVER
I fell face-forward into the seats in front of us and bumped my head on it. Honestly, what were the carriage designers thinking, not including seatbelts!? What a safety hazard!
I sat up and tried not to look like that had just happened. Rhea looked like she was about to laugh. I glared at her. Don't. Laugh.
She laughed like it was the funniest thing she had ever seen in her life. I felt my cheeks burning from embarrassment.
This wasn't even funny. I almost broke my nose!
"Hmph," I said. Rhea started laughing even harder. The driver, who was opening the door to let us get down looked at the two of us with amazement, as if a laughing Daniella and a blushing Daniel was a sight to be put on the 'critically endangered' list.
Which, I guess, it probably was for the original two owners of the bodies (God, that feels wrong to say).
I got down, followed by Rhea, who was trying to control her laugh. Oh, come on! This is not funny, Rhea!
RHEA
I suppose it doesn't seem very funny to River, but if anyone had seen the look on his face, they would be laughing like I am. It wasn't just funny, it was comical!
And the way he hmphed! Epitome of hilarious+cute!
We got into school, me still trying not to laugh, River with a resting bitch face. When he pulled that out, I don't know. I guess he just did.
We first need to head to the Entrance ceremony, where our classes will be announced (although I already know that I'll be in class T1T5). Then we need to go to our classrooms, where we have lockers at the back of the room. There, on each locker, there is a nameplate. Apparently, all our required things are in the lockers already. Such a considerate school.
The only problem is, I suck at directions.
"...Do you know where the Entrance Ceremony is happening?" I asked.
"If the school's layout is same as the layout of it in the game, then yes. If not, then no," River replied. I must have looked horrified because he quickly added, "Don't worry, if we get lost, we'll just ask someone else." That did not help me. I'm socially awkward, goddammit!
River stood and thought for a while. He was probably visualizing the in-game map of the school. Then he opened his eyes and said, "Left, right, left, left, left, right." I automatically knew that he was stating the turns we needed to make at various corners.
