"You think I still have super speed?" I asked while turning in Dr. Eggman's direction.

"Let's see if you do." Dr. Eggman replied, pulling out a glass cup before throwing it towards the wall.

In the blink of an eye, I sped towards the cup, catching it right as it was a few feet from the wall, the object in my chest, possibly my heart, pounding in exhilaration at what just happened.

"Good, adding in some of Sonic's DNA gave you his speed." Dr. Eggman said, putting his hands behind his back, which was a habit of his when he's containing his excitement.

"I'm guessing I can't fly unless these are rocket boots." I said, placing the cup on the table as Dr. Eggman shook his head in response.

"We'll worry about that later, at least the USB works, now is to come up with an undercover name for you." Dr. Eggman said.

I crossed my arms and thought hard, thinking like this rather than how I did as a robot being pretty difficult, then my now organic mind, brain, whatever, finally came up with a good undercover name.

"How about Maralis? It means 'blue sky', which is the color that I am." I suggested.

Dr. Eggman raised a brow, looking interested as he took a moment to think more before a smile of approval crept up on his face.

"Very well, Maralis it is then." Dr. Eggman said. "Just remember that you have to eat like any Mobian and human does, and try to be careful while you're out there." He informed me.

I furrowed my brows in confusion. That's going to take some getting used to.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because the USB is somewhat controlled by your emotions, something that I couldn't fix, it reacts in a similar way that Sonic's super and dark forms do to his emotions, when he's angry and full of negative feelings, he turns dark, when he's determined to beat a powerful enemy and has the Chaos Emeralds nearby, he turns super, the USB works in a similar way and will turn you robotic until you learn to get full control over it." Dr. Eggman explained.

"So try not to get too angry or determined over anything, got it." I replied, getting the idea.

"Good." Dr. Eggman replied. "Now off you go, the sooner you gain that rodent's trust, the sooner we'll defeat him." He ordered.

I nodded in response and sped off, nearly bumping into the walls and other badniks that were doing their jobs, but once I reached outside, I adjusted to it. Honestly, it will take me time getting used to running rather than flying to use my speed, but I literally had no choice, all I could focus on was finding Sonic and hopefully not mess up on my mission. Dealing with Sonic's smugness? That will be hard to endure.

I soon reached a hilltop overlooking the view of Station Square and slowed down to a halt, watching as cars drove by on the road and the humans living there walking back and forth on the sidewalk, the sight hardly intriguing as I sped into the city, only slowing to where I was walking. I had no idea where Sonic would be, and couldn't use my scanners anymore to locate him, not to mention the curious looks I got from the humans, a child, probably a toddler, walking by with his hand in his mother's, the kid stopping for a second to look at me with wide curious brown eyes, only for the mother to tug on him a bit, and he immediately kept walking. I glanced around, so used to flying over these humans that walking among them was rather strange, still seeing no sign of Sonic anywhere. Getting an idea, I sped off, turning side to side to avoid ramming into any of the humans, ignoring some of them shouting at me angrily and ran up the side of a skyscraper, reaching the top within seconds and came to a halt, now overlooking everything as my red gaze scanned the area carefully.

"Where the heck are you?" I questioned out loud, beginning to lose my patience rather quickly.

So sign of Sonic. I let out a long huff and sat down, hanging my feet over the edge without any concern of falling off and glanced at the sky, squinting my eyes when I looked too hard at the sun beginning to set in the horizon. Just my luck, my mission is off to a bad start, it's like the gods didn't want me to find my enemy, but I wasn't going to back down. Much to my disgust, I probably have to put myself in Sonic's shoes. Now what would Sonic do if he was looking for someone? He'd probably just run around like a madman until he'd conveniently find the person he was looking for. Although most of the time he does that when he hears someone is in danger. Sonic has one heck of a good hearing ability, that I know. Maybe I developed that ability too? Keeping myself silent, I listened, straining my ears as they flicked around a bit, and I could hear the footsteps of the humans walking from way up here, and heard girls whispering about boys, making me cringe a bit, then finally...

"Sonic!"

I was suddenly pulled down on my back and hugging me tightly was Amy. How did she get all the way up here?!

"Hey get off!" I growled and began trying to free myself.

Any other time I would have pushed Amy over a high place like this, but I didn't want a bad first impression on Sonic, or I'd completely mess up my mission. Amy glanced up at me, her face showing shock and she immediately detached herself from me and backed away.

"Sorry sir! I thought-"

"Well you thought wrong!" I snapped, still tempted to just throw her off the building, but restrained myself.

Amy reflected my anger with a scowl as she crossed her arms. "Hey, I'm apologizing am I? No need to be such a brute." She said in irritation.

I rolled my eyes and stood on my feet, rubbing my arm which was sore from her inhuman strength, questioning how in the world a small girl like her was this strong.

"Whatever, and the name is Maralis, not Sonic." I hissed, trying to make myself clear.

Amy huffed in response and turned her back on me, arms crossed over her chest in irritation. I felt this fire start to burn within me, but restrained myself before I sped off, running down the skyscraper and reaching the ground, running through Station Square to continue my search for Sonic. All of the sudden, when I reached the outskirts of Station Square, I bumped into someone, hard, and whoever it was, they groaned as I lied where I was, unable to make any noise, it felt as if the air was knocked out of my lungs.

"Dang..." An all too familiar voice said.

I opened my eyes, my vision a bit blurry, but I could still make that it was Sonic himself as he rose up, rubbing his head before glancing at me.

"You alright there?" Sonic asked.

I couldn't help but glare at Sonic in annoyance, but was still paralyzed on the ground. Now my mission was really going to begin.
