Chapter one

Waking to the sound of my own heartbeat, I see him. He's beautiful, like a creature from another world. He glances down at me. He can see me? Gasping for breath, overwhelmed with the excitement, "how can you see me?" I ask. Laughing he says, "I created you." "cre..created me..?" Now i'm completely terrified. "Don't you know what you are my love?" He says, amusement in his words. Did he really just call me love? Who is this magnificent creature? I close my eyes and pinch my arm, wondering if I'm dreaming. I was definitely able to feel that, I reopen my eyes, but he is nowhere in sight. I jump out of bed to look for him. "turn around," a fierce whisper in my ear. Glancing behind me, I see no one. I turn back around to see this handsome man. He kisses me. "who are you?" I ask, voice shaking. "Don't you remember?" He questions me. What am I supposed to remember? What am I forgetting? He grabs me and pulls me into his embrace. "I love you Angel." His voice calmer then before. Again with the love word. Should I say it back? Contemplating whether a complete stranger deserves these powerful words, I think to myself, hes the only one whose ever seen me, how could I not love him back? "I..I love you too," saying this hesitantly. "Have you eaten?" He asks. "I don't eat," I say wondering why he would ask such a thing. "No wonder you're so weak," he says pulling me off in a distance.
Outside this room I've been locked in, it is even more barron. "Why do I live in this dark and absent place?" I ask almost in tears. "What is wrong with me? Am I insane? Is this a hospital?" "Have you ever wondered why you wake up and know so much? Do you really think you've been stuck here for long?" He asks, looking at me like I'm an idiot. "I..  I guess.. I just thought that's how it's suppose to be." I'm so confused I've always been alone, atleast I have been for as long as I can remember. I'm starting to wonder how far back it is I can remember. "What am I?" I question, afraid to know to answer.
"Vampire."
                      Chapter 2
"A WHAT?!" I yell in horror, "explain to me why this happened, how did you become one?" "A decade ago our house was broken into. You were off to school and I was taking a day off from work. There were 3 men. They looked like shadows. I thought they were here to take our values, I didn't know that I was worthy enough to be their taking." He says looking away from me, hurt behind his words. "You were taken?" I say in complete despair. "I don't remember much, but I know I was taken to a cave hidden deep in the Appalachian Mountains. I woke up like you I suppose. Lonely, hiding away from the world, not remembering anything of my past. Then they found me. They took me hunting. After my first taste of blood my brain was flooding with my memories. I remembered you. I escaped and hitch hiked my way back to you. It was almost too late when I reached you. You were drinking and starving yourself to death. But the night I got to you I came into the house finding you laying on the floor bleeding. Your body had already gone into a shock due to the loss. My heart told me I couldn't lose my love, my vampire instincts told me I could save you, so I changed you." "Our house? Your love?" I asked. Throughout the whole explanation those words lingered in my mind. "You're my wife. Please eat." He says grabbing a squirrel who was trying to run up a dead tree in our path. Feeling disgusted, I took the animal from him. Cutting my nails into its neck, watching the blood run down my finger, I panicked, not wanting to hurt this poor creature. "Go ahead" he says to me, sorta irritated. I pulled the squirrel up to my lips, a light drop of its blood hits my bottom lip and runs into my mouth. My body goes into a complete bliss. Not realizing it, I devour the creatures thick, red poison. Flashbacks race through my mind, answering every question I've been asking. He was my husband. We were newly weds. And now I get to spend eternity with the love of my life.

                     Chapter 3
"Do you kill.. Humans?" I ask, chills down my entire body. "Humans, no, only animals. There are two types of vampires in the world, those who kill are the damned, the immortal. I for one still have a heartbeat, I'm not dead, nor am I immortal, although I do live longer than humans, ...several centuries longer." "Humans let you feed off of them?" The horror in my words weaken my stomach. "Earlier you asked how I could see you when you couldn't even see yourself. They can't see us. We breathe into their core and they lose all memory of anything they feel as we feed. We only drink enough to quinch our thirst." "But the bite marks, how do they not notice them?" I asked. He can see the confusion in my eyes. "Our saliva is a healer, only the living vampires have this power. If we lick over the bite, it disappears instantly. "So only vampires can see each other? Mom won't be able to see me ever again!?" I questioned, ready to break down at any given moment. "I mean there is a way you can... but I don't think you're open for that" The words make my jaw drop, "I'd have to turn her..?" "Um.. or someone can do it for you." He said, feeling bad for what has happened. "Our bond.. mother and child.. that can't connect us again without making her into a monster?" My tears began to flow down my cheeks. "We're not monsters, the immortal are." He said in pure distgust. "I didn't mean it like that.. I.. Im sorry.." I say as I hold him to me. For a few minutes he wouldn't fall into my embrace. Finally he gave in and relaxed his arms around me, kissing my forehead. "Im sorry" he says. "Why? If I may ask." "For snapping, I've became more aggressive since the change." He says apologetic. He's always been aggressive, now its gotten worse? I don't like the sound of that. "Its ok, don't worry." I say to him and kiss his neck. "Well now that we're together again, ready to find a new home?" He asked excited. "A new home? That place back there wasn't our home?" I ask in shock. "It was. Now its time to move on. We can't let them find us." He says pulling me away.
                    Chapter 4

On foot as a human to get to Ireland would take years, but as a vampire it only takes a few hours. "Wanna stay here?" He asks. " I would love to stay here, this place is beautiful. I wanna live in Dublin castle." I said full of excitement. "Then that is our home my love," he says kissing me on the cheek. As we get settled into the castle, we notice tourists everywhere. "Was this such a good idea to move in here?" I ask feeling awful for the human disturbance. "At least we don't have to go out looking for our food." He replies laughing. "I suppose thats true." I say still feeling bad about it. I go and examine the crowd of people picking who to drink from first. Some were to old, or some were too young, their blood didn't look appealing to me. Then I saw her, a girl about my age, short, tan, she had a tad bit more meat on her than some of the others here. I could see the color of her blood through her skin, it looked delicious. Then I remembered. I knew this girl. She had been my best friend for years. I couldn't do this to her.. Could I? I stood there staring at her, contemplating if it would be right for me to feed from her. Wess, my husband, came up behind me, and whispered in my ear. "She won't know you did it, she won't know it ever happened. If she looks appetizing, go for it." This was a little reassuring, but I couldn't make myself do this to her, she wouldn't know, but I would. I walked into a room that was blocked off from tourist, to avoid my hunger. I heard a loud crash, then some screeching. I ran out of the room quickly to find out what had just happened. Wess ran to me covering my mouth, pushing me against the back wall of the room I just left from. "Shhhh.. Don't make a sound I'll protect you." He whispered next to me. Protect me? Protect me from what? What happened? Within the next hour, everything grew silent. I was getting restless, staying here with my mouth covered for a long time. He released his hand from me. "Stay silent, they're waiting for us to come out. We have to stay here like this until they think we aren't here anymore." He said, a scared look in his eyes. Who is they? They are who we ran away from. Now we're hiding from whoever they are. "Immortals?" I asked horrified
                    Chapter 5
"Immortals," he confirmed. "There was this girl I dated way before I knew you, she became one of them. She was the leader if the men who took me. She wanted me to be one of them, wanted me back. She knew I married you, so this was her way of trying to be with me, I told her I would be with her if she wouldn't lock me up. They put me in a room not secluded, but still not free. When she left I escaped. I ran and I got hit by a car... The man stopped to check on me, but when he saw I wasn't gonna make it, he said he couldn't be in trouble, so he fled the scene. I was left for dead, then Victor, a living, found me, he turned me, I've been bound to him ever since." "Why did you tell me any of this before?" I said balling my eyes out. "Its hard to talk about any of it.." He turned away from me, I could hear him sniffle. "Is she looking for us for revenge?" I questioned, scared for our lives. "Yes, shes always made trouble.. Now she's powerful.. I wanna keep you safe, but I don't wanna have to keep making you run away from them. I'll leave and visit whenever I get a chance, I can't let them hurt you." He says breaking down into my chest. "I'm not letting you go alone, we're a team, if you run, then that's what I do too, you can't go alone. We protect each other by sticking together." I say fierce, but he knows there's complete love behind my words.
