"Hello?" I blurted out immediately I swiped the green icon on my screen to the left and pressed the phone against my right ear.
"We are meeting at my place. You weren't in school for the closing assembly. So, tomorrow's September equinox and since we don't have school tomorrow, they planned a party for tonight. So-"
"Who are they?" I cut her off with a question of mine. They, so many people. No no no no no.
"The whole set na, Toyo. Do you live under a rock? Haven't you been online? The plannings are on the vawulence group na, what's doing you seff?" She said in one breath and I Chuckled, rolling my eyes. Typical peace.
" I know you just rolled your eyes, you think I'm stupid ahbi?" I looked around my pink bedroom and couldn't peace.
How did she know I rolled my eyes?
"I know because we're best friends and I know you like I know the back of my palm." She answered my unasked question.
Best friends? I couldn't help but wonder. I never really placed anybody there.
"So come over to my place, Anjola is already on her way. And come with your outfit, we're going for the party whether you like it or not. You hear?" I slapped my forehead in frustration. There was no point trying to argue. No point at all.
" Yes, mother!" I replied with sarcasm clear in my tone then I imagined her roll her eyes and scoff.

"Get the hell." And with that, she hung up. And no, she wasn't angry, peace was just a very weird human being.
I started packing my things into a mini bag pack, and headed for the shower. I rushed down the stairs when I was done, almost bumping into aunty Stella. Pressing a kiss on her cheeks, I informed her I'd be over at Peace's place and that I'd return the next day Incase she decided to inquire about me which was like a 0.1% out of hundred.
