Look at what I found! The notes that Kellygirl46 sent me years ago for Triton's Bay and time to write! As usual, Descendants belongs to Disney, and this point in the story still belongs to Kellygirl46.

Without further ado, Chapter 9!

Four years ago

Lonnie sat rocking her sleeping baby in her arms. She was heartbroken. She should have known that going to Auradon to tell Jay about the baby was bad. Jay wasn't hurting over her, he had moved on, with Riley. Looking down at her baby girl now, she knew this was all she had left of Jay.

Her phone vibrated on the table, Lonnie assumed it was Sian again. He had called her several times since she left last night. In each call, he told her that there was a misunderstanding, Jay was drunk and Riley acted on it. Lonnie didn't know what to think.

Lonnie picked up the phone and spoke tiredly immediately. "Sian, I can't have this conversation again - "

"Good, then I only have to say this once. Jay and I are together now. You saw it for yourself last night. Don't come back here, Lonnie. You aren't wanted." Riley snarled before hanging up.

Lonnie shook her head and started to put the phone down when a text came through. Lonnie looked at it and felt the tears start again. It was Jay sleeping in a bed with Riley curled against him. Jay had slept with her. Lonnie sobbed. She didn't want to see this."

Present

"Are you sure you're gonna be here? Or when things get tough, are you gonna leave again? I don't want her heart broken by you when you decide it's too hard. Because parenting's hard, Jay. Really hard. And I can't take losing you again and breaking both of our hearts. I won't go through that again. I saw it, Jay. Riley sent me the picture of you in bed with her. I can't pretend I didn't see that."

Jay struggled to keep his temper in check. He didn't want to fight about this in front of Jaylian. "I never slept with her! Never! Habibi, she faked those pictures; I swear, nothing ever happened with her." He would have to deal with Riley personally. She had done a lot of damage here. "You're right, Lonnie. It's gonna be hard. And we will both have to put in a lot of effort and adjust." He cautiously closed the distance between them and cupped her face. "I'm not leaving you again. So put me on the damn list at the school and let me into your life."

His lips crushed hers, demanding her to succumb to him. Sliding his lips over hers, nipping at her bottom lip for entrance, Jay deepened the kiss until he felt her give in. Her body melted into his as she slipped her arms around his waist and his temper subsided immediately. Jay wasn't going to let her think he was going away again. His world exploded when he lost her, and Riley had played a huge role in him not coming back. She convinced Lonnie that he had moved on, and tried to keep the both of them from trying to hold on. He wouldn't let that happen again.

"You should get dressed so we can get going," Jay whispered as he rested his forehead against Lonnie's. "When I get you alone again, we're gonna continue this. I'm gonna remind you of everything we had and everything we will have again."

Tessa grinned at Lonnie, then squeezed Jaylian's hand. If a guy ever kissed her and looked at her the way Jay was looking at Lonnie, she would never walk away. Jaylian giggled nervously and looked up at Tessa. Lonnie looked at her daughter and smiled. She started feeling hope for the first time in a long time. Lonnie nodded to Jay and went to get dressed. She had a job to deal with, too. That would be another difficult conversation with Jay.

Jay grabbed his plate and cutlery and sat with Jaylian. The little girl tilted her head and cocked an eyebrow at her father. "Why were you and mama shouting and then kissing?"
