"Actually two. Jamie and Ariana."
Carly seemed interested in this topic. "So which one are you going with?"
"I haven't given either one an answer yet. In case someone else wants to ask me?" He leaned forward towards Carly to make it seem like he was directing his question to her. But this was for Sam.
Carly leaned forward also. "Noooo." Sam, who was standing with her back to Carly, rolled her eyes. She mouthed I'm not going.
Freddie was bummed out by this. "Yeeeaaahhh." He, honestly, didn't care who Carly's date to the dance was. He wanted to go with his girlfriend. But while he was mourning over not being able to go with Sam; someone snuck up behind him. "HI, FREDDIE!!"
He flinched and his body tensed immediately. "Mhm....Hi, Malika..." He turned to face her. "You guys know Malika." Carly nodded. "Uh-huh." Sam forced out a polite. "Hi, Malika." Malika quickly raised her hands. "Who wants to see a magic trick?" Carly and Sam took this opportunity.
"Later."
"Bye, Malika."
Freddie wasn't as lucky. "Uh I should really get to-" He started to walk away but she pulled out a piece of paper. "A blank piece of paper!" The brunette stopped and turned to her again. "I wad." She announced as she crumpled up the piece of paper. "Look I really-" Freddie started but she put up a hand to silence him. "I toss." She tossed the paper up in the air and it disappeared into smoke. Even Freddie had to admit that Malika for once did a halfway decent magic trick. "Woah that was pretty good." But of course the trick wasn't over. She put her hands up in the creepy fashion she often did. "Feel inside your pocket." He did and pulled out a wadded up piece of paper. He didn't remember leaving it there. "Unwad." She instructed and he did as told. His expression immediately turned from confusion back to one of discontent as he read the paper. "Will you go to the dance with me?" He crumbled the paper back up lazily. But Malika didn't seem to notice his distaste because she was excitable now.
"Will ya?"
"Um a couple other girls already asked me and I'm not sure yet-"
"Well think choosing me if you wanna have a magical night." She did a huge sweeping motion with her hands before she clapped. She disappeared in a cloud of smoke and sparks; Gibby stood in her place. "Gibby? How did you-?" Freddie started. Only to be met with. "I don't have no idea." Both boys wore looks of confusion; especially when Gibby had a question of his own. He looked down at the half-eaten banana in his hand. "Whose banana is this?"

So it was official Freddie had three possible dates. Sam didn't want to go and Carly was upset that she couldn't go with Nate. However, Carly did consider Gibby as a possibility. Maybe it was because she felt bad he wasn't invited yet. Maybe it was just because he was actually not a that bad a person. No matter what it was, she knew it wasn't a bad idea.
Sam, however, had a different idea. Of course, she'd tweeted about the incident with Nate so Carly was all crochety which somehow made this more fun. She'd proposed the idea of using iCarly to get Carly a date. Carly wasn't interested in the idea. She even admitted she'd rather be alone and crochety. But when Sam came up with an idea she usually followed through with it.
So later that night when the show ended things went unexpectedly.
"Okay, that's it for this iCarly."
"Actually no it's not. Man, I wanna do something real quick."
"What?"
"BEFORE, we end the show, Carly is gonna sit in this chair." She pushed Carly down in a chair and then proceeded to lock her arms down. "For the record, I have no idea what she's doing." Carly contributed. "Just sit tight." She pet Carly's head and grabbed a duct tape roll from behind her.
