For some reason he saluted to you, and proceeded to walk to his desk in the teachers office room.

"And then one of them called me dad by accident,"

"HA. That kid must have been so embarrassed,"

"Yeah, probably. That's why I played it off like he didn't,"

He wheeled you into the restaurant,
"You're such a nice teacher. If I ever have kids, I hope they get you as their teacher,"

He gasped,
"Really? That means a lot to me, (f/n),"

"It's the truth! And I think I see an empty table over there,"

"You're really gonna get that? It seems super  spicy,"

He put his menu down, settled on his meal,
"I like spicy!"

"Hmm, maybe I should get it too then,"

You both ended up ordering the same meal, and it ended up being brought by the owner himself.

"I'm required to tell ya that ya might want to reconsider,"

He placed the plates of spicy food in front of the two of you, which looked absolutely delicious.

You licked your lips,
"This is a meal I'm gonna enjoy,"

Hearing your words caused the chef to go into a Vietnam-war flashback type of deal, all of which you couldn't really see because you were preparing yourself for the spicy meal.

"You don't have to eat it (f/n),"

"Nonsense Koushi! I've made it this far, I'm not turning back,"

You took a spoonful/forkful of the spicy meal, and inserted it into your mouth. You savored it's delicious flavor, swallowing it when fully chewed.

"Huh, this isn't so bad!"

And then it hit you like the car that hit you five and a half chapters ago. The spiciness of the food caused you to sweat, your tongue feeling the wrath of a thousand suns.

You frantically reached for the water, but the H2O only made it worse. You didn't know what else to do, so you sped-ate the rest of the food. Your stomach churned as the hot (both ways) food went down your esophagus, and you could already tell that you'd be in the bathroom for a while after all was said and done.

The gray haired boy seemed only slightly affected by the spice, only lightly perspiring.

"Are you okay (f/n)? WHYD YOU EAT IT ALL?"

Even though your tongue was on fire, you could still speak,
"I DONT KNOW,"

You saw a small tub of [favorite flavor] ice cream placed in front of you with a spoon,

"This might help ya out,"

You didn't even have time to thank him, as you quickly consumed the ice cream, finding relief in the frozen treat. Although it still hurt, the pain was now manageable.

"You're a lifesaver Samu! How'd you know this was my favorite flavor?"

He gave you a kind smile,
"Lucky guess,"

You continued to happily eat your ice cream, inevitably getting some on your face. Taking a page out of your book, the teacher sitting across from you wiped your face with a napkin.

You gave him a toothy grin,
"Thanks Koushi,"

He smiled back at you, then quickly shot a look towards the chef who was sitting down at your table.

"I'm home!"

Korai greeted you at the door, and walked "with" you to the living room.

"Did you eat yet"

"Yeah, I ate with Koushi and 'Samu. Have you eaten?"

"I ate last night's leftovers,"

There were a few moments of silence before you yawned. He took notice of this, and wheeled you i to the bedroom. He left so you could change in privacy, and came back when you were ready, the two of you got into bed, both of you turned towards each other.

"I'm so glad I met you (f/n),"

You yawned again,
"I'm glad I met you too Korai... G'night,"

He turned off the bedside lamp, enveloping the room in calming darkness.

"Goodnight (f/n),"

You fell asleep after a short while, but Korai stayed awake, ruminating on his feelings towards you.

He loved you. He really did, but he needed to face the possibility that he may not be the one you ended up with. He didn't want his confession to jeopardize the relationship he had with you. You were always there for him, supporting him in his lower moments.

'Don't listen to your brother, he doesn't know what he's talking about! And he's super mean!'

'You'll totally gonna be able to go pro when you're older! I'll be there cheering for you!'

'Everyone loses sometimes. But the losses only make the victories even better! I'll buy you some ice cream if it'll make you feel better?'

He hid his hands in his face. Why did everything have to be so complicated? If life were perfect, he'd be able to confess to you, and then be able to rewind time depending on your answer.

He loved everything about you, your smile, your laugh, the way you were so mature yet immature at the same time, and [your other attributes idk you].

All of these thoughts dissolved as he went into a deep slumber, his hopes and dreams following him into the world of dreams.
