Tecna respond not long after. "Yeah and since then, no other issues have been reported to any of us. Why would they--" Morgana raises a silent finger and smile, letting them know that she and Roxy share their concern but to let Roxy finish. Flora and Tecna both nod and keep silent, attentively listening, though still with many questions.
Roxy continues. "The Guard---Laria, if I remember right---then nearly crashed onto the floor. She was bleeding and had pushed herself hard to get here, so it was pretty urgent. Dad and me came running down the stairs not long after we heard what is going on. Laria told us that," Roxy paused and took a shaky deep breath and sighed, "--that Tir Na Nog has been destroyed last night!"
The shocked silence that ensued was so great that one could hear a pin drop on the ground and no one would even notice. Bloom's jaw was agape, silent in startlement. Flora's hands were at her mouth, eye wide with horror. Musa dropped her headphone set as she gasps; the set landed on the ground with a dull thud but she didn't even seem to care. Stella's tired eyes were lit up with the same expression.
Tecna's expression was one of "That's impossible! How? Destroyed!!?" and Aisha's mouth was agape as well. No one could utter a word, even while trying to do so. Failed attempts to coming up with a response were met with abject failure, with only gasps to utter. The Fairy Pets collectively gasped at hearing such an atrocity.
Roxy nodded. "I know it sounds so...terrible, but from the tone Laria told us, and the details she gave...it-it's all true! Nebula is barely holding it together, though she is still doing fine enough. Many of the other Guards were..." Roxy fought back tears, but Morgana held her hand. Roxy couldn't continue. Morgana turned to look at the Winx, fighting back her emotions too.
"Sixty-percent of the forces that fought against these intruders were mercilessly killed outright and the remaining forty, though alive, are still in critical condition. Only 10 percent of the forces were able to fight with any sense of regularity," Morgana somberly said.
A chill ran up the bodies of the Winx at that moment. The Tir Na Nig Guard and Royal Forces are not a group of slouches and are fiercely loyal, dedicated fighters who'd do anything to protect their kingdom. When they fought Nebula after Riven's death, they found themselves challenged when the Guards suddenly turned on them and trapped Morgana inside the mirror.
And from what Morgana told them, they overcame powerful monsters which threatened the castle and won against invaders from kingdoms which would have succeeded otherwise. For an enemy to do so much damage in one night...to their horror, would be unparalleled. The enemy would be on par with Valtor or even the Trix when they commanded the Army of Darkness when they were mere Alfea upstarts.
Bloom felt a bead of sweat passing down her brow, down to her cheek and dripping onto her pants at that moment. Stella was starting to quiver at the prospect of such a formidable party bringing one of the oldest magical kingdoms to its knees; all the other Winx reacted similarly.
Morgana continues, now giving the Winx a sense of the gravity of the situation and a hint of why they have come bearing this news. "As you can see, this is a dire situation and Nebula wishes us all to help as soon as possible. The only thing that Laria could tell us, based on the available eyewitness descriptions of other Guards present, was there were four individuals dressed in robes which greatly resemble kimonos but on the backs, there is a crescent moon symbol with a slash cut through it, colored bright crimson red. They kept saying this was to "avenge their home world, which if I remember correctly, is Lunastra."
