"No. The only thing that happens is a temporary stun. Biting another vampire sends chemicals into their body that they aren't used to, so it can stun them. It's useful when fighting, but it's a difficult move to pull off. Biting another vampire takes skill and precision. Only the best of the best can pull off a bite on another vampire."

"Jimin bit Jungkook. Does that mean he's a bigger threat than Jungkook is letting on?" Y/n asked.

"I love Jungkook, but his ego is bigger than Breylin. He'll never admit it, but Jimin's a huge threat to us. We have no idea how large Jimin's clan is. We have no idea what his plans are. We have no idea if there are spies inside Breylin."

"I see why you're protecting me now," Y/n whispered, kicking her foot against the rocky ground. "So what do you want me to do? Carry a handgun?"

"No," he said, a bit too quickly. Then, he softened. "You don't need to carry any weapons. If the vampire sees you have a weapon, they can use their speed to take it off of you then use it against you. Your best bet is a distraction. Vampires think they're invincible, especially when going after a human like you. If you can distract them, you can get the upper hand. Vampires can't resist blood, but they're greedy bastards. If you have expensive jewelry, or a valuable possession, you can distract them with it."

"That's stupid as fuck, no offense. There's gotta be a better way than throwing a piece of jewelry at them like they're a dog."

Jin ran a hand through his hair, pressing his feet on the ground. "First of all, language. Second of all, one of our biggest weaknesses is sunlight. Other than the select few who can walk in the sun, the ones you'll face will evaporate in sunlight. Breylin has UV lights around our perimeters in case Jimin tries to attack at night with his clan. Jimin and his two right hands, Taehyung and Hoseok, can walk in the sun. Otherwise, the rest of his clan is screwed. If you carry around a powerful UV flashlight, you can hurt them or scare them. Or both. It depends on how powerful the light is. Highly concentrated UV light will kill vampires."

"So, buy a flashlight?" Y/n asked, Jin dipping his head.

"Y/n," he said, scooting a bit closer. "Listen to me, you have to be on your guard all the time. Don't let yourself get hurt, you hear me? I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

Y/n chuckled. "Don't worry grandpa, I won't let anyone hurt me. I'm scared of the dark anyway, I don't go out at night much."

Jin scrunched up his face. "You're calling all this old? I'm no grandpa!"

"Of course that's what you took out of that."

Jin and her shared a laugh, Jin looking at her with a sense of longing in his eyes. Y/n decided against questioning it, standing and dusting herself off. They had more training to do if she was going to be a match for a vampire. She offered him a grin, then her hand. He lingered before taking it, hopping to his feet.

"What do you say, a few more rounds?" she asked, a spark of determination in her eyes.

"Depends. You gonna curse?"

"Wow, you really are a grandpa." At his nose scrunch, she gave him a nudge and went back to the center of the arena. "Let's go, gramps."

He mumbled a curse before coming back over, standing across from her. They both got in their defensive positions, Jin correcting her until she got it right. He made her get in and out of her position several times. Once she was used to it, they prepared to fight. That was until they heard a man clear his throat from behind them. Y/n shifted and saw Jungkook there, Azazel flying down and landing on his shoulder.
