(28) If only you knew

Start from the beginning

You grabbed Scaramouche's hand and led him upstairs into your room.

"Something happen?" He questioned.

"My father's home, and well..." You remembered Linda took of Scaramouche when he was an orphan. "Never mind."

"So?" The indigo haired boy took a seat on your bed.

"My father doesn't really like you that much, I don't think it's ideal for him to see you right now. I'm sorry for inviting you over, I didn't think he would come home so soon." You frowned, the fact Linda was here too made everything so much more complicated.

"It's not like your father could do anything to me anyways, you said you were allowed to date me so it's fine."

"Alright." But in all honesty, it wasn't. "I'll be right back."

You left the room because you forgot your phone downstairs. As you walked into the living room, Linda and your father were in the middle of a conversation.

"Y/n great timing." Your father caught your attention. "I was just about to tell you that Linda and I are getting married in two days."

"TWO-" You cleared your throat. "Two days?"

"Yes." He confirmed.

"Oh... that's um, nice." You smiled awkwardly at the both of them. "Congrats?"

"Thank you." Those were the first words Linda said to you.

You nodded at her before grabbing your phone that was left on an empty seat. Linda left the living room and waked into the kitchen, as you were following after her your father stopped you.

"Where's Kazuha?" He questioned.

"He's out with friends." You lied. Your father still didn't know that your brother was into men, Kazuha had asked you to keep it a secret from him.

"I see... How are your grades?"

"Good." You were slightly confused of why he was actually trying to start a conversation with you.

"Oh and Y/n could you quickly go buy some milk please? I would like to make almond tofu." Your father asked.

"Right now? Why do you want to make almond tofu?"

"Well I was thinking your friend Xiao might want it, you could give it to him?" He hinted.

"Why do you want me to give him almond tofu?" Okay now you were confused.

"I'm only trying to help you, you and Xiao are very close so I thought you might like him."

"Excuse me?" You stared at the man in complete surprise. "I have a boyfriend."

"Yes I know but Xiao is a much better person for you than the guy you're with right now. You should've gone for him instead."

"Where is this coming from?" You crossed your arms.

"Nowhere. Also please start packing your stuff, I already told you we're moving."

You scoffed, turning around to exit the room. You instantly stopped when you bumped into someone.

"Moving?" Scaramouche questioned.

"Scara what are you doing here?" You whisper yelled.

"You were taking too long."

"What is that man doing in my house?!" Your father stood up from his seat, glaring at your boyfriend.

"Hanging out with your daughter." This was the first time Scaramouche met your father, and he already didn't like his attitude.

"Get out." He harshly ordered.

"Damn okay." The indigo haired boy furrowed his eyebrows before walking over to the door.

You unlocked the door escorting him outside. Just as you were about to close the it, Scaramouche opened his mouth.

"Walk with me."

"Alright."

The indigo haired boy pulled you out of your house and closed the door. He had a serious expression on his face that made you feel uneasy.

The two of you were quietly walking along the path before he finally spoke. "Your father said something about packing, are you moving?"

"Um, yeah." You put your head down, not wanting to know what type of expression he was going to make.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to worry."

"That's what you said last time." Scaramouche sighed. "Why are you moving away?"

"Because my father's getting married." You bit your bottom lip, silently cursing yourself for not telling Scaramouche about Linda.

"And you decided not to tell me any of this?" He clutched his fists. "Do you not trust me anymore?"

"I do."

"Then why? You get into so much trouble because of me and you won't even let me worry for you. Sometimes I feel like I'm only putting you in danger, like when you were stab-"

"Scara don't say that." You cut him off. "That was ages ago, you know very well that it wasn't your fault."

"So why don't you talk to me about this stuff anymore? I feel as if I know nothing about you."

"I understand where you're was coming from but I barely know anything about you either, especially about your biological mother." You crossed your arms.

"Yeah, your right. I'm sorry I just-" He paused and took a deep breath. "I'm upset about the fact you're moving. I don't want you to go." Scaramouche's voice cracked a little bit.

"I know, I don't want to leave either."

You pulled him into a hug, the indigo haired boy dug his face into the crook of your neck.

"I'll do everything in my power to keep you here."
