Episode 28: Curtain Call

"I'm so nervous," Yeonjun admitted.

"You? Nervous?" Kai asked.

"What? Was I never nervous?"

"Not for this stuff," Taehyun said.

"You'll be fine; we played so often at so many bars," Beomgyu said.

"This is different... there are going to be so many more people."

"Yes, it's different. We will have people who love us in the audience," Soobin added.

"True."

A staff member rushed inside.

"Five minutes; we're about to play the VCR of your covers!"

The boys immediately stood up from their desks, stowing their phones into the drawers and walking towards the center of the room.

"Are we ready to give our all?" Soobin asked, looking at everyone.

The boys nodded.

"We only have one shot," Kai sighed.

Beomgyu patted his shoulder.

"It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be great."

Yeonjun nodded.

"I agree."

"I always agree with what you say positively," Taehyun said.

Soobin smiled and the boys brought themselves into a group hug.

"Let's nail it, 5Note!"

The crowd started cheering loudly when the stage opened, and the five boys were brought onto stage from underneath.

Even though their composed faces didn't show it, the boys were shocked beyond extent to see the amount of people in the audience.

There were a lot more than expected.

With beating hearts, they turned around and walked towards their instruments. Yeonjun and Beomgyu picked their bass and guitar off their stands, and slung them over their shoulders. Kai and Soobin stood behind the drum and the keyboard, while Taehyun stood center.

Soobin tapped his drumsticks together a couple times.

And off Yeonjun went with his bass, playing the intro of Deep in Love, their very first cover they uploaded as 5Note.

"Alrighty people, we wanna hear your screams!" Beomgyu exclaimed into the mic.

As requested the crowd went wild, and even more when Soobin started playing the drums, as well as when Beomgyu started playing.

The boys felt so many flashbacks to almost a year ago, when they first played the song together in the Huenings' garage, and still, the same thrill of the song ran through them.

They truly belted their voices out to their verses, and hearing their fans sing along with them gave them the chills.

Well, as we all know, MyDays singing together is pretty much heavenly.

"Deep, deep, deep in love!"

Soobin whacked the drums the final time, and applause and cheer broke free from the crowd. The boys all caught their breaths, bewilderment visible on their faces.

Holy fuck we really sang like that live, Beomgyu thought.

The boys lowered their instruments and took their mics to hand.

"Let's introduce ourselves: hello, this is 5Note!" Soobin began, with the rest joining him.

The audience cheered loudly, and the boys all took a good look at everyone.
