"Thank you, my sweet boy." She mimicked her husband and kissed his head. When she stood up JJ quickly interrupted her, already seeing that Emily was about to nervously go through their routine again.

"Go. We got this." She ushered them out the door. "And in case the house catches on fire I'll promise to call."

"Thank you JJ," Aaron smiled at the blonde, his eyes drifting to his wife. "really."

"See you later." She waved at the couple who waved back and closed the door before Emily changed her mind.

"It'll be fine honey. The kids will be okay." Aaron kissed her temple as they headed to the car. He opened the door for her and waited until she was seated before closing it.

"Oh I'm not worried about the kids. I'm worried about JJ." Emily chuckled as she thought of the hurricane that was their youngest son and the way he was already rubbing of on his sister.

"Yeah he gets that from you, I hope you realize that." Aaron put his hand on her thigh and squeezed as he started to drive.

"Almost makes me want to call my mother and apologize to her." She sighed as his warm hand heated up her skin even through the fabric of her dress.

"Oh sweetheart, he's nowhere near as bad as you were." When her mouth dropped open of exaggerated shock, all he did was laugh.

They got to the restaurant and for the first time in what felt like years they sat down without the disturbance of people, their phones or children. Emily smiled as she sipped her wine, her hand in his over the table as they talked about anything and everything.

"You know, Jamie was right." Aaron's eyes drifted over her face, down her collarbone and chest before looking into her eyes again. "You do look like a princess."

Emily scoffed, his gaze making her squirm slightly. She knew that look, that was probably the look that got Amy here.

"It's just a dress, and some make up." She bit the inside of her cheek as he continued to stare at her, the tip of his tongue running over his bottom lip. "Stop looking at me like that." Her tone was suddenly breathier, lower and he smirked at her.

"Okay honey." He straightened slightly in his seat as their food was placed in front of them. He nodded his thanks to the waiter before cutting into his steak. "Just know that dress will look even better on our bedroom floor."

"Aaron Hotchner!" She chastised and he looked back up at her a small grin. She couldn't help the laugh bubbling up inside of her, she had missed this feeling. She wouldn't give up her life for anything, loved her children and the life they had created together, but being with him like this, it was something she knew they needed. To simply be them, not mommy and daddy or agent Prentiss and Hotchner, to just be Emily and Aaron.

By the time the desserts were placed in front of them Emily felt giddy, drunk on him and good food.

"Do you want to drop Amy and Jamie off tomorrow and I'll take Jack to soccer?" Aaron asked as he watched her take a too big bite out of the chocolate cheesecake she had ordered.

"Oh shit tomorrow is no good for me, I'm spending time with my boy toy." She replied dryly but couldn't help the chuckle as his eyes narrowed at her. "Didn't I mention that? He might like this dress too." She winked, mouth full of cheesecake as his hand that was still holding hers flinched.

"You're a menace."

"But you love me." She grinned and quickly leaned over the table to kiss him. "I'll take the kids to Penelope's, don't worry. And I was thinking maybe after we can all have lunch at the diner that Jack loves?"
