The minotaur was known for its high defense. It would be meaningless to set a trap and then have my weapons not work.
I attempted to swing from a distance with my sword. It also had an axe but it takes more time to swing so if I move quickly enough it won't hit.
I got a scrape across the chest and still kept on running without looking backward. Once I heard him charging at me again I looked behind me.
'Fuck...'
It did no damage.
I quickly moved to my next plan of action, for this though I needed a dead end. I quickly ran over to where one was.
Eina gave me a map of the upper levels and I already memorized the whole layout of all of them by seeing it once.
I ran over to the nearest dead end, trying to conserve what little stamina I had left.
When I made it I turned behind me, a fake scared expression on my face. When the minotaur turned to corner to see me he charged.
Monsters on the levels where the minotaurs are from have some intelligence. Seeing a scared adventurer at a dead end, I know what you would do yes?
He would charge with his head.
I acted paralyzed in fear, and once he was close enough jumped on his head.
He tried to stop in time and crashed into the wall, making the wall parts break off.
'If my weapon made by humans can't kill you...Then a weapon by the dungeon sure as hell can!'
I grabbed one of the wall fragments while I moved to sit on his shoulders so I didn't fall off. I then repeatedly hit the top of his head over and over again with the rock that came from the dungeon.
His head was shaking violently as he tried to shake me off. Once he realized that wouldn't work he tried to throw himself into the wall back first to crush me, but I could see his plan before I started beating his head in.
I jumped off and grabbed my dagger mid-air and stabbed it in the eye while it. Once I landed I grabbed the rock next to me.
Before I could actually kill it though I saw a figure out of the corner of my eye. Blonde hair and a beautiful face, it was one of the heroes Ais Wellenstein.
I quickly turned my switch off and ran towards her screaming.
"WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!"
She took a step back though when I got closer.
'Fuck, did she see?'
I suppose one could draw the conclusion of what happened with the wall and blood on his head was my doing but I couldn't let anyone find out about me.
"HE...HE ATE MY FRIENDS!" I yelled running towards her.
She seemed to resolve herself and killed the minotaur with ease. However, in the process got blood all over me.
"You..." She said, "Care to explain exactly what happened?" Her tone was serious.
'Heroes are supposed to 'say are you hurt,' dumbass,'
"I...I was going to go into the dungeon with two-level two adventurers who offered to help since I was still new...They managed to get a considerable amount of damage done but...when one of them fell, the other quickly did as well..."
"Then where are the bodies?"
"He a-ate them...Right in front of me..." I tried my best to seem absolutely shocked.
"Then where is Their blood?"
'Persistent women...'
"It's splattered around here... It must have mixed with the minotaur's blood though since the minotaur's blood is darker,"
Her face seemed to say 'Is he telling the truth?'
"Well, it's fine. This was my bad anyway, my party let these guys loose by accident,"
With a quick bow, she left, leaving me alone and covered in minotaur blood.
'She doesn't really act like a hero at all,'
