A Paw Patrol Story 9:The Battle For The Last Champion Child

Prologue

???:Stay here, Sparks. I'll go check it out.

The doberman ran over to the crash site, seeing a young Rockruff who was unconscious.

???:(This is a Rockruff, how did a Pokemon get here?)

The Rockruff groaned a little as she opened her eyes and looked at the pup in knightly armor.

???:Who are you?

???:My name is Claw, but I have a feeling that I should be asking you that same question. So kid, what's your name?

???:(Sighs) It's Grace.

Claw:How did you get here?

Grace:I don't quite know, I was being chased by members of the Yiga Clan when a portal appeared. I didn't think about it, I just jumped into the portal, hoping for the best.

Claw:(If the Yiga Clan is after her, she must be important.)

Claw gently placed a paw on Grace's shoulder.

Claw: Don't worry, you're safe with me, I'm not gonna hurt you. But I don't think I can help you with your situation.

Grace seemed a bit disappointed.

Claw:Come on.

As they were about to leave, both Grace and Claw started hearing footsteps nearby.

Claw:Get behind me!

Grace quickly got behind Claw as a strange boy and his eagle came over.

???: Greetings, Claw. 

Claw:The Duke Of Flappington? What are you doing here?

Duke:For what you have behind you.

Claw looked at Grace, then looked back at the Duke.

Claw:What do you want with her?

Duke:It seems that Copycat didn't invite you for our little get together?

Claw:He did, I wasn't interested! I changed my ways!

Duke:Well then, allow me to tell you something about that pup.

Duke:She is the daughter of the Lycanroc champion!

Claw was immediately shocked as he looked at Grace.

Claw:Is that true?

Grace nodded her head.

Duke:Now then, hand her over!

Claw started to growl at the Duke.

Claw:(Growls) You're crazy if you think I'm gonna let you take some innocent pup.

Duke:If I have to exterminate you, I will!

Claw then whispered into Grace's ear.

Claw:Run over to the dragon and get on his back, I'll be right behind you. But do you have any we can use as a smokescreen?

Grace:Yeah.

Claw:Then on my signal.

The Duke then pulled out a rather sharp sword.

Duke:Now then, time for a knightly execution. 

Claw:Now Grace!

Grace quickly released a rock throw, causing rocks to smash into the ground, creating a massive smoke cloud.

Claw:Run for it!

Grace and Claw quickly got onto Sparks' back.

Claw:Fly!

The dragon quickly flew into the air. Claw then noticed that the Duke's eagle, JohnClaw, was chasing after them.

Grace:What do we do?

Claw:Sparks, fireball!

Sparks released a fireball, making the eagle quickly move out of the way, but one of his wings caught on fire, making dive into the nearest river.

Claw:Phew!

Grace: Thanks.

Claw: Okay kid, I can't keep you safe, but I can't contact my friend without help from the Princess Of BarkingBurg.

Grace: BarkingBurg?

Claw: She's not gonna like this, but I don't care, the situation is too dire for me to ignore. Only the Paw Patrol can really help you.

Grace:Who are they?

Claw couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he licked Grace's cheek.

Claw: You're gonna love them, especially Champ and Matthew.

Grace: Matthew? That's impossible, I thought he was dead?

Claw:I don't quite understand it myself, neither does he. There's also the son of the lightning champion who lives with him.

Grace:I can't wait to meet them.

Claw:Grace, from what it looks like, you are in a lot of danger, and I'm worried about you.

Grace:I know.

Claw: BarkingBurg isn't far, so get ready.

Grace:Are the people of BarkingBurg trustworthy?

Claw: Absolutely! Plus, the Princess and the royal pup, Sweetie, know a thing or two about the champions.

Grace:(Giggles) That's kinda cool!

Claw: You're gonna love meeting Matthew and Champ, I guarantee that!
