Once more, Rasmei didn't get to mention. She was in the military, she knew almost of everyone due to her files reading. If someone ever thinks Miles Quaritch was ruthless, you would be wrong. There was someone else behind him. This woman General, General Ardmore ranked higher than Miles, lacking compassion with a strict attitude. Her entire goal on earth was to inhabit Pandora and turn it into a second Earth for humans. Her orders from Earth to have Miles take control and the other Recoms to hunt down everything that was on their way.
And now that Rasmei was sitting on the floor, silently running her mind and waiting patiently for the answer. Everything depended on Parker now, and if he was able to convince and use his power to control to stop whatever that was soon to be happening but she knew they would give him the hardest to go against Quaritch because that Colonel was a man of his word. He would do anything he wanted until he reached his goal. If Parker wasn't able to do it, then there would be the end.
Jake slumped on his shoulders, eyes tiredly stare at Rasmei's fingers. He blamed the situation on himself and even Rasmei knew he would do that too. Her face stared back at him to see he was completely zone out and probably fighting his mind inside his head. She felt bad, she felt bad that she pushed him out from the first time right in front of the Clan. Even if she could have earlier stood by his side and accepted his pleading, it would have been much too late. She wanted to convey to him that she now understood him and could feel his heart and emotions. It was difficult to keep those feelings to himself, especially because he had no clue how to let them out since he was afraid to let the truth terrify the people in his life.
''We're the criminal now, exactly label as the betrayal of our own race.'' Grace spoke up for the first time after the silence was used to the cell already. Norm, who was laid flat on the bench, woke up for a while now hoping that the door would be open to let them out soon but it seemed to get nowhere. ''They never wanted us to succeed.''
Looking up to Grace, Rasmei's eyes shifted to her face. Life in Pandora was so important to her. She has her life planted here and grew out of falling in love with both the people and forest. Her career depended on this planet, her whole life she has never been feeling so happy other than doing her work even though it has stressed her out.
At the same time, Rasmei frowned when she heard the voice coming from the outside glass causing her head to turn to see Trudy approaching along the corridor, pushing a stainless steel trolley.
Wait, Rasmei almost forgot that Trudy was out there and helped them out behind Quaritch's back and it was lucky that none of them knew about her. Her school grade on science was stupid and shitty but she was good at pretending and disguised. Now she was here, putting it to good use.
''What's going on, brother? Long time no see.'' Her friendly tone caused the other three in the cell to turn around and Rasmei already had a sly smile on her face, completely knowing that they were now were able to get away from this damn little cell.
The soldier lifted his face and responded with his happy greeting. Who wouldn't be, Trudy was a beautiful pilot among all the military women in the base and Trudy came in just to bring in the food. He didn't know he would be in a shitty position if Trudy was able to break Rasmei free. Oh, you have no idea.
''Personally, I think steak's too good for these tree-hugging traitors.''
''They get steak?'' The man asked in disbelief, making his way slowly from his desk to the stroller. ''That's bullshit. Let me see that-'' Just at the time when he bent down to look into the stroller, Trudy already pointed her gun and pressed it to his neck.
Chuckled in her breath, she pushed him onto his knees. ''Yeah, you know what this is. Down.''
Rasmei stood up from her place and Norm rushed over to the door, calling out for Trudy. Jake grabbed his woman's hand as she gave him a smile and a nod. She said, ''We're getting out of here. Don't worry.''
