Kenny mumbled something, but Cherry couldn't hear what he said. She fell into the crowd, lining up with the rest of the students in her dojo.

"Three things make a champion. The Three D's." Sensei Silver instructed. "Desire. Devotion. And discipline. The first two, I can't give you. The last one, I can, but you have to be willing to receive it. Are you?"

"Yes, Sensei!" The students called back to him.

"All right? Junbi stance. Now, I understand you wanna defeat your enemies. And you will, when it matters. Until then, just stay focused on your training. Is that understood?

"Yes, Sensei."

"With conviction."

"Yes, Sensei!"

"Good. Arms out. Attention. Chae-ryut. Kyun-nae. Dismissed."

The students dispersed into their separate friend groups for their short break. Cherry sat on the floor, breaking a granola in half, extending the larger piece to her friend.

"Second Sensei's working us hard today. The guy's going beast mode! Sucks we can't give a beat down before the tournament." Kyler frowned, taking a sip from his water bottle.

"You can't give one, but I hope you can get one." Cherry insulted, which made Tory laugh.
