Hybrid 13.2: New pack

They exited the gymnasium and the lizard man's grip on my hand didn't lessen, no it tightened. So much I couldn't feel the blood in my hands. I bit back the pain but he was doing it on purpose.

"Stop" I said at one point "Please." It was a whisper

Then something broke. My left ankle to be exact. I didn't scream as the adrenaline was too strong to realize the pain. Eyes widened both in the hybrids and humans group. He had just kicked me behind my knee and as I fell on the ground he had stamped my left ankle.

"That's for the phone call bitch and if your rabbit doesn't appear quickly, it'll be my pleasure to break your other ankle." I didn't answer but he let the pressure go on my wrists a little bit. Not enough for it to not hurt. As the time passed, the pain in my ankle started to kick in. I felt tears streaming down my face but I kept stubbornly quiet. Lizard man was not letting me go anytime soon. Blood was soon visible from my ankle and the sound of drops of blood broke the silence.

"Why are you doing this? She's a hybrid like you. Like us." A voice said and I didn't recognize it at first. I managed to stay conscious due to fear and pain. It was Nicolas. The Lizard man didn't say anything but threw me to the human side. Anais dragged me over to her side.

"Because it's worth the money." The lizard man said 

"Don't try anything. I'll break all your bones fawn and I know how hard it is for prey hybrids to heal. Maybe you will never be able to walk again, maybe you will be raped countless time and become a prostitute. I'll be the first to try you be assured." He grinned 

"It'll be my pleasure to choke-"a gun shot. No. 

A sniper shot. 

Right in the chest: opposite side of the heart. Yet the lizard man stumbled and thus he was shot in the knee. Nothing but silence.

"Get him" Darius said and they placated the lizard man to the ground.

"His gun!" I said and something flew away "Knives" I said as I sat up. Adrenaline was back and I could feel my brain working. Soon several officers in combat outfit stepped in, Justin got me quickly and I blacked out.

When I woke up, I was in the hospital. I heard the sound of machines beeping. I saw students on my right and left. Probably victims of the shooting. I looked at my wrist which were bandaged and looked at my ankle which was in a cast. 

I felt nothing in my leg and it was weird. I still managed to sit up and my whole body was in pain. It was night time and I was alone. At this moment, I really regretted not having a pack or anything. I felt good at school where I knew a lot of hybrids and was only alone at night. I felt safe and protected in that school, but it would never be the same again. 

The fact that I was a white doe and not of age, would spread around quickly if any of the men escaped and that was definitely bad news. I had no pack, no family and just a bit of money from my part time job. I grabbed my head as everything dawn to me. I couldn't stay at the school as it would probably close down to clean the mess for at least a week and then it was spring break. I never felt so alone. 

The door opened and I met eyes with a handsome man with big wings and broad shoulder. To say he looked intimidating was an understatement but never judge a book by its cover.

"Ah, you're awake?" he asked and I was right. He looked damn soft. "I'm Doctor Jin, you arrived in the morning. You had operations on your ankle and a small concussion. But everything looks fine since you are awake. Can I contact a parent or your guardian?" he asked and I intertwined my fingers and stayed silent for a bit.

"How much? Does it all cost?" I asked him first

"Pardon?" he asked taken aback

"I asked how much is the bill? The hospital fees?" he answered right away
