Aiden walked through his front door, file in hand. As Mary saw him, she called for Andy to go get the first aid kit. "Brother, why did you go meet Anthony?"
The minute the fight happened, Aiden knew the whole town would know. This isn't the way he had it worked out in his head. He was going to meet him and tell him he needs to tell Karlie, but then Anthony punched him first and he lost his temper.
Mary got an ice pack and Andy held it on his face, trying to bring down the swelling. Aiden grunted; he was in pain. "Sorry brother," Andy said as she dressed his cuts.
"Andy, please make a call for me. Have Cole know that I can't meet him at the restaurant, so he should come here instead. Ok brother?" "Thank you, Andy," he got up. "Let me help you." "I'm fine, Mary, I promise.
At least take this pill." He took the pill and the water and swallowed it. He went upstairs and lay on his bed. He was in pain, he closed his eyes, he just lay there.

Ariel's POV:

"Ariel, sweetheart, her mom called. She went down the stairs. "Yes, mama, what is it? Why are you yelling my name like this, mama?"
"Your fiancee was in a big fight with Anthony Fairview. Apparently, Anthony Fairview has a bastard son, and Aiden found out and confronted him about it, and the two got into an altercation."
"Mama, is Aiden ok?"
"Yes, he is, sweetheart. The whole town is buzzing with the news. That poor Karlie girl, she is set to marry Fairview and become his second choice.
She will not be the first one to bear her husband a child. How embarrassing that is. She thought about it, and her heart felt bad for Karlie. No woman deserves that. She can only imagine how she must be feeling."
She went into the kitchen. She needed to call Aiden to see if he was okay. Mary answered. "Hi, Ariel, yes, dear. Not to worry, he is fine. He's in bed resting. I'll have him call you as soon as he wakes up. Ok, thank you, Mary."
