Chapter 4. Goodnews

"Ok". She replied. "Bye Gael...we'll talk later". She said and she turned to follow me.

I glared at Gael and he laughed

I styled Mia and she looked really beautiful.

"Thanks Dani...you are the best stylist ever". She said and I smiled at her

Mia went to perform on stage and I went outside.

I sat on the side walk and I closed my eyes as the cold night breeze blew through my face. I was really worried about mum's condition so I needed some fresh air.

Gael looked for Dani in the backstage but she wasn't there so he checked outside and he met her sitting on the sidewalk. She closed her eyes and he admired her as the breeze blew her hair and the moon lighted up her face. She looked like an angel

He moved closer and he sat beside her.

Dani felt someone sitting next to her and she opened her eyes and turned to see Gael.

"Hey Gael...what are you doing here?...you are meant to be serving". I said

"I know but you seem worried about something...please tell me unless I won't talk to you again". He said and he stared at her intently.

Suddenly Dani started crying and she hugged him tightly. Gael was surprised and he started consoling her.

Dani told him everything that happened

"I'm so sorry Dani...is there anything I could do to help". Gael asked

Dani pulled away from Gael and she bowed her head down

"No Gael...you have helped me enough...I'll figure something out". I replied

"I wish I had a life that I don't need to suffer and struggle to survive but it's just a dream anyways". I said and I smiled sadly.

"Don't give up Dani...you will surely get what you desire...please don't be sad". Gael replied and he stood behind Dani and tickled her.

"Gael stop". I said admist giggling.

I stood up and Gael pursued me. I ran through the parking lot, suddenly I slipped on something and as I was about to fall, I felt a strong pair of hands holding me tightly on my waist.

I looked up to see Gael, I noticed he stared at me differently

I pulled away from him.

"Thanks Gael " I said. "I think I should start going home...it's getting very late". I added

"I'll drop you off at home". He replied

I nodded

When I got home I met aunty Becca and mum chatting happily. I smiled unconsciously

They turned to look at me

"Mum". I screamed happily as I hugged her, " I'm so glad you are better now". I added

"I'm sorry for troubling you dear". She replied

"Don't say that mum". I said sternly.

She laughed

"Thank you so much aunty...you are the best". I said and we hugged each other

We ate dinner together, after a while aunty Becca decided to go home.

"I have good news for both of you". Aunty Becca said and I listened happily

"I have been promoted to personal assistant in the boutique". She said and I squealed happily

"Congratulations aunty". I said and I hugged her tightly

"Way to go sis...I'm so proud of you". Mum said and she also hugged her

"Dani I'll take you out for shopping tomorrow". She said and I jumped for Joy.

"You can also bring Kara along". She added

"I love you aunty". I replied and I smiled

After aunty Becca left, I took mum to her room to rest and I decided to sleep in her room

"Dani...I'm so glad I have a daughter like you...I wish you happiness". Mum said and I smiled

I gave mum her medications and after a while she fell asleep.

"I love you mum". I said and I gave her a slight hug and I laid beside her, after a while I went to my room to sleep.
