Chapter 2

"So any luck with Buck?" Starts Athena
"No, not going out anywhere this weekend".
Athena sighs "This is ridiculous, I'm just going to call her up here" she grabs her phone sending Felicity a text. Giving up on their plan as never works out.

"Wait, she's here?" Bobby questions.

"Yeah waiting in the car"..her phone bings. Athena looks. "She's on her way up now".

Bobby and Athena walk back to the table. "What was that about cap?" Asks Hen. "What? Nothing"..Bobby grins a little bit. "Hmm mm sure" Hen replies. Side eyeing him.

Felicity appears from the stairs "umm Hey" giving a little wave.

Everyone turns to look at her.

"Everyone this my partner. Felicity Valentino" Athena walks next to her turning to the others "Felic this is Hen, Chimney, Eddie and Buck, obviously you know Bobby"

Felicity smiles at them before locking eyes with familiar green eyes. "Eddie Diaz??" Felicity recognises him right away.
"Felicity! How are you?" He reaches her and brings her in for a hug.
"Yeah, doing better thanks. Are you and Christopher okay?". Felicity asks hugging him back.
"We're good. Doing great actually" Eddie tells her. Felicity smiles, feeling happy they're doing okay.
Athena interrupts the reunion "you two know each other. It really is a small world".

*RING* The bell goes off and they all rush off to the fire truck.

"FELICITY!. WE'LL HAVE A CATCH UP SOON!" Eddie's yells as he's getting into the truck. " OKAY!" is the only word she could get out quick before the truck leaves the station.

Athena and Felicity leave the fire station and get back into the police car.
"You and Eddie seem close" Athena says to Felicity " Yeah, well we were. Things changed.. " Felicity decides to tell Athena more about her life.."I.. had someone important in my life, Eddie was his best friend, that's how we know each other..we lost him. Unexpectedly," Athena grabs her hand "it's okay. I understand" she knows this person was a important but a painful memory. Felicity gives her a grateful smile. "Thank you. I feel like I should be able to tell people but I can't, I guess I'm still living it".
"There's no right or wrong way to grief" Athena tells her "if you need to talk about anything..I'm here"
Felicity is grateful for Athena "I will thank you" changing the subject she continues "Well lets get to it shall we?" Athena and Felicity put on their seat belts before driving off.

In the firetruck Eddie is met with stares.
"What?" He asks the others.
"What, 'what?' You've never told us about her" Buck says to Eddie.

"Yeah, I know. I haven't seen her in years" Eddie replies "it's not my story to tell" he adds.

"So there is a story" Buck continues "You know each other but haven't seen each other for years?...were you a thing?"

"No, it's not like that!" Eddie scoffs at Buck.

"Buck" Hen shakes her head. "He said its not his story, so let's leave it".

"You're right, I'm sorry Eddie" Buck apologies.

Eddie waves Buck off "Don't worry".
"She's a great person that's been through enough" Eddie manages a sad smile. Remembering his best friend, lost in his own head.

Looking out at the sea view of his best friends holiday home from the kitchen window

"Eddie!, my man..my brother from another mother..."

"What do you want?" Eddie asks turning to his best friend Dale before he continues adding to that sentence.
"Nothing!..okay well I would like some advice..." Dale says, starting to get nervous. Eddie notices "come on, what's on your mind?".
"I want to propose to Felic.." Eddie who looks at him unsurprised by the confession "and I wanted to run some ideas by you"
"I mean I don't mind trying but I think you should be asking Felicitys' best friend" Eddie laughs
"Absolutely not, she can't keep a secret so you're my only option..well at the moment" Dale adds.
"Thank you" Eddie replies sarcastically
"So...any ideas?" Dale asks
Eddie goes to Dale and grabs his arm before taking him outside to the view of the beach and where Felicity was relaxing. "I don't know..if only you had a private beach, where Felic loves to be"
"No need for the sarcasm Eddie..I mean look at her, so beautiful. I can't concentrate with her there Eddie!" At that moment Felicity turns to them and waves. Small smile on her face before looking back into the ocean.
Dale just looks at her with adoration and love "ouch! You ass" Dale yells holding the back of his head where Eddie just smacked.
Eddie laughs at him "come on, let's get some ideas down before I feel sick"..They both head inside..
