"Legs hurt, huge gash, and ankles kinda messed up, looks like she's about to faint any second," the old man said still talking to the walkie-talkie man, only now facing her. She looked down and then at her hand she noticed how pale it was and then the huge amount of blood running down her foot.

She could feel her eyes getting heavy from all the blood loss in her leg. Deciding not to show it tho so she won't be considered weak.

"Can ya walk?" the man said now in front of her. Looking at her, waiting. She looked down on her right foot, then at him.

"Could run without falling, so I think so" the kid answered quickly. Trying to walk but failing miserably, falling every time she stood on it.

She noticed that the man was holding two sticks, soon realizing what he meant. Grabbing them and using them as crutches.

"Shit," the kid said. The man quickly turned around scoffing. Seeing the girl ransack the ground looking for something.

"The hell you lookin' for?" he said walking towards her. She didn't answer feeling like it was just a waste of time, but feeling that his eyes still glaring at her felt annoying.

"My pocket knife, I was tossing it around but I guess I threw it so hard that it went deeper into the woods," she said cleaning the earth like a broom. Her eyes were laser-focused while her tongue was sticking out, trying to be as precise as possible. Not even looking in his direction. She soon saw something glistening beside the old man.

"Move," she said pushing him away, still on all fours. Sweeping there too. Finally finding her pocket knife.

"Now we can keep going!" the girl said standing up picking up her sticks and walking straight forward. The man soon caught up to her. She could see the barn in the spread, soon seeing a man pointing a gun in a sheriff's uniform, the other was a little boy, who looked around her age, with a cowboy hat on, and then an older man.

"Starr?" the old man said looking at her. The boy, sheriff, and crossbow both looked at him and then her.

"Hershel!" the girl said hopping on one foot as fast as she could. He went on his knees, and Starr hugged him tight soon noticing Maggie and Beth.

"Starr?" Maggie said. Hershel pulled away showing his daughters the girl he had beenhugging

"Starr!" Beth, screamed running towards her, Maggie following close behind. They both hugged her tightly. Starr groaned due to the pain in her leg. They both looked at her confused not noticing her leg, they looked down and saw the gash and ankle, Hershel behind them, barely seeing it.

"Her foots all messed up could ya fix it?" crossbow man said, Hershel nodded, and helped her on her feet. As she started walking she could feel everyone staring at her.

"Hershel, Maggie, and Beth could yall come for a sec?" a tall man in a black t-shirt said. Looking at them concerned. she could hear some stuff like 'Who is she' or 'How do you know her?'. She looked at them annoyed and angry.

Her eyes were getting heavier, she felt dizzy. There was a moment of relaxation then it all went black.

"Oh no," Hershel said running towards the kid.

"Shane help me pick her up, Rick gets some tools so I could stitch up her leg and something for her ankle," the old man said pointing at Shane and Rick.

After a couple of hours, Starr woke up, her head hurt. She didn't remember how she got here or where she was. She stood off the table feeling a sharp sensation in her leg, she looked down at it and noticed the stitches and some tight socks on her. She tried to walk but it hurt too much, she felt like the stitches were ripping out. So she looked around hoping to find anything. In the far back was a window, she jumped towards it seeing a farm, a very familiar one. It was getting late so she hurried t find a door not even caring to find a stick or whatever to help her stand.

Quite a fucking long time since I went to this place

She opened the door, slightly leaning on it. She saw a boy standing in a doorway. He soon turned around to reveal it was the boy from before. As soon as he saw her he turned around.

"She's awake," he said, he turned around to point at her seeing that she was already behind him. He turned around and started to walk to the sheriff.

"Come, you can sit here," Beth said, clapping her hand on the floor. Starr jumped on one foot to get there. She sat down looking around. Seeing: a sofa and some more chairs, all being used. She was hoping to find one person and one person only.

"So what's ya story kid?" crossbow man said. Looking at her everyone doing the same. She looked down at her wooden arm. She felt confused, and worried even about a simple question for such a simple answer.

"I lived with my mom and dad before all of this. My dad hasn't been seen ever since it started, so I was surviving with my mom and Uncle. My uncle died first then my mom. And I've been on my own for a couple of months" she said still looking at her arm, wondering if she should tell that story also. She thought about it for a while till she went for it

"But with my arm was when I, my Uncle, and Mom were going on a supply run for our group. Noticing a store that hasn't been raided yet, which was pretty rare, we got excited and dove right in. But not even 10 minutes we got jumped by five geeks. Three were on my uncle and one was on me. I killed my geek and tried helping my uncle. I didn't notice the geek running at me. I quickly grabbed my knife and then he bit me. I tried to cut my hand off, but when I was halfway done he pulled my hand out of the upper part of it" The girl said she felt disgusted and dirty each time she said that story. She noticed a man hesitating to speak but eventually, he gave up. She looked around til she saw a woman whispering something to another man. She looked scared and disgusted by what Starr just said.

"What happened to your dad," The boy said. Looking at her confused but with excitement.

Like I know

Was all she could think about.

"Carl!" The sheriff man said, quickly turning towards him, the girl next to him then nudged him with a mad facial expression.

"What?" the boy said confused, looking at them both. Starr looked in shock biting the inside of her cheek, it was an old habit that had started when she was younger. She stood up and walked out. It had only been a couple of minutes til someone called out that dinner was ready. The group in the camp all sat in a circle eating some meat.

She not have noticed the cap guy that was usually cheerful seemed stressed and overwhelmed, as she looked around to why she saw Maggie shaking her head then the T-shirt old man was nodding his head. He took a deep breath and looked down on his food.

"Guys, there are walkers in the barn," he said. looking at everyone and then at Maggie, who had already turned around disappointed and walked away. He looked angry.
