It must be important. Aurora thought to herself as she made her way over to Hermione's bed. We haven't done this in a long time.
Aurora sat crossed leg on the end of Hermione's bed, while Hermione herself casted a spell around the bed, so no one could hear them speak. Once the spell was done, Hermione sat down, at the front of her bed and was silent for a moment. Aurora immediately knew something was wrong.
"Is everything alright?" Aurora asked Hermione.
Again Hermione stayed silent. She fiddled with her fingers and looked away from Aurora. Something was wrong. Definitely wrong. Aurora waited though. She waited until Hermione was ready to speak. She wouldn't pressure her best friend into speaking.
After long minutes of waiting, Hermione finally spoke. However, as she spoke, it wasn't what Aurora had expected. "When you yelled and punch Malfoy in the face, did you feel a sudden change in you?"
Aurora blinked at Hermione. It wasn't what she had expected Hermione to ask her. However, Aurora thought back to it. Yes, she did feel a change in her - rage and fire. Not a burning fire, but a cold and dark feeling inside of her. Blinded she felt. Blinded by that feeling.
Aurora then stared at Hermione for a moment, before finally saying, "A little. Why's that?"
"Well - it's nothing..." Hermione said, looking away from Aurora. It wasn't nothing. Aurora thought. Hermione is hiding something from me. "You just seemed... different."
"Different?"
"Yeah..anyways I just wanted to know. H-how was divination after I left?" Hermione asked, changing the subject. Aurora frowned at the sudden change but did not say anything about her changing topics. Instead, Aurora told Hermione about how boring divination was, when Hermione left. After that the two just started talking about random things. The whole time, as they talked, all Aurora could think of was, she's hiding something from me. Why is everyone hiding stuff from me?
***
Aurora went to the Great Hall late. She and Hermione spent until after midnight talking. After they departed to their own beds, Aurora had trouble sleeping. All that ran through her mind was, she's hiding something from me. Why is everyone hiding stuff from me?
She got there just in time to wish Harry good luck- who seemed relieved when he saw her walking up to him.
Though, Aurora didn't get a chance to wish Atlas good luck as he was nowhere to be seen. She hadn't seen him at all today. Not in the halls, and certainly not here. He must already be down at the Quidditch pitch...
Aurora grabbed some toast, and then made her way to the Quidditch pitch. This time, she found Ron and Hermione sitting together in the Gryffindor stands. Aurora smiled. She walked over to them but before she could reach them someone grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the Gryffindor stands.
Theo, Blaise, and Pansy stood there with wide grins on there faces - even Pansy tried to grin. "We saw you conveniently walking to the wrong side of the pitch and decided to guide back to the right team." Theo said with a playful grin.
"Haha. Your funny." Aurora said, trying not to suppress a grin. She failed.
"I know I'm funny." Theo said, shrugging his shoulders.
"We know you support both teams - probably Gryffindor more, but since you couldn't see Atlas this morning -" Blaise started to say to Aurora but got cut off when Theo said, "- yeah we saw you looking for him. Actually for a matter of fact we didn't even know where he was-"
