The princess finished and the maid bowed deeply, "I-I am terribly sorry, Your Highness. I-it won't happen again."

The princess raised her chin, glaring down at the bowing girl but then felt a glomp, a sudden hug of her right arm. Looking to the side, she saw the youngest princess and her cheeky smile.

"Oh, come on, sister, don't be so crude," the younger princess whined, "Our maids are humans too and who wouldn't blush at the sight of a handsome man, hm?"

The eldest princess yanked her arm away from her sister's hug, "Me. I don't have time for that. I will rule this kingdom so I need diligent servants and trustworthy individuals by my side. We're not children and ruling a kingdom is not child's play."

The eldest princess walked away first and her sisters shared a look, shrugging at the serious nature of their older sister. But the youngest clicked her tongue, whispering to her older sister.

"She'll never get married with that attitude. No man would bare to stand her like that... I'm her sister and she's annoying me with all that seriousness. Imagine how it'll be for a man," the youngest said and the middle sister chuckled.

"I know, but she's right - ruling a kingdom is serious work, especially since she promised the council that she'll do well, that she'll prove to them that she can do it, despite being a woman. So I understand her - she needs a cool head if she wants to be a queen," the second eldest princess added and the youngest couldn't reply to it because her words were true.

The big door of the reception room opened and the sitting men stood up after an elderly man announced the princesses' arrival, bowing perfectly 90 degrees to the royals and showing their respect.

The eldest princess, who walked first, kept her gaze straight ahead and didn't let it waver despite the feeling she felt upon stepping in the room - it was a feeling of a powerful energy, the air in the room was heavy to breathe as if she had some sort of supernatural beings as her guests. The princess gulped, knowing that no one will see that, and took a deep breath to calm down her rapid heartbeat. Again, the atmosphere, the air as she walked between the rows of bowing men felt tense and heavy that the beads of sweat broke out on her forehead. She wanted to ignore it but couldn't...

The maids helped the eldest princess sit on her throne, pulling the ends of her long dress to be careful it won't wrinkle. Two younger sisters sat in the chairs on their elder sister's sides, all three of them looking at the men bowing. They straightened up and all eight pair of eyes were on her, the eldest princess of Sori. And she cleared her throat and let out a small cough when her heart strangely skipped a beat.

'These men are dangerous.'

"Your Royal Highnesses," the announcer stepped forward, "Army captains of a Western District 9 are here to offer their protection for today's coronation ceremony, as well as the celebration of Your Highness's birthday," the old man spoke and the princess listened, trying her hardest to focus her eyes on the older man and not the younger men in western-style uniforms. "Let me introduce you to..." the announcer paused, opening a scroll from which he read the men's names.

"Coming from a distinguished noble family, I present you the Dictrict's leader... Sir Bang Chan," the announcer said and a male with noticeable bright orange hair stood up, bowing to the princess. The princess nodded and he sat back down. But his piercing eyes never left hers and the princess didn't quite follow and remember the names of the other captains because of his stare. He and his aura captivated her the most... though the others were as dangerous as him, there was something different about the leader.
