Jay: Me neither. It's just something I say to all the newbies. Sounds cool. (walks away)
Kai: Right, where was I? Oh, right! Gonna be late! (runs away)
(In the crowd, Cole sees Nya signalling him backstage)
Cole: What happened?
Nya: We need another actor! Remember? My hopeless brother flipped the script?
Cole: Oh, right. Uh, you can play the character!
Nya: Uh, no I can't! I already have a role! We need someone else!
Cole: (looks at the crowd) But who... (he spots a salty green bean) perfect!
Nya: What are you waiting for? Go, go, go!
Cole: Shh! Don't ruin the performance! (looks at Morro) Pst!
(Morro doesn't hear him)
Cole: PST!
(Morro continues to be deaf)
Cole: (waves arms around) PSTTTT! PST!
Nya: (facepalm)
Cole: Oh, for the love of cake. (he runs to Morro and grabs him by the arm)
Morro: Hey! What gives?
Cole: This is a kidnapping!
Morro: What!?
Cole: Just... come on! (drags Morro backstage)
(Back to the play, Kai bursts through the doors to the police firm)
Kai: What's up police fam!
Lloyd: (mysterious tone) Kai Smith. Status: Rookie.
Zane: (turns around in his wheelie chair to face Kai) What's all the commotion?
Lloyd: Zane Julien. Status: Chief Commissioner.
Kai: I'm ready for my first day on the job, boss! Give me the case of the kidnapped mayor!
Zane: The case of the- you shouldn't know about that! (points at the TV)
Lloyd: Zane gestures to the broadcast playing on the TV, which shows the mayor's last appearance as well as information on multiple robberies.
Zane: We've kept her disappearance under wraps. No one outside of the police knows!
Kai: I'm not outside of the police, now am I?
Zane: (sighs) Never mind. (turns away and waves his arm boredly) You can have the case of the missing crown jewels.
Kai: But I already solved that case ages ago!
Lloyd: This news... shocked the Commissioner.
Zane: (wheels around and faces Kai) That is impossible! This is your first day on the force. You couldn't possibly know!
Kai: It was obvious! The butler did it.
Zane: The butler did it!?
Garmadon: (eating popcorn) It's always the butler.
(A few seconds pass as Zane and Kai look at Lloyd. The crowd becomes silent)
Lloyd: What? Why is everyone quie- OH! That's my cue. (squints at the chicken scratch) Uh... cue the entry of the extra character.
Morro: (walks in) Chief, I've drawn up the reports of some leads we have leading to the missing crown jewels. I'm this close to cracking the-
