She walked past him, avoiding eye contact as she headed to the back of the store, grabbing a cart as she filled it with alcohol. Once the cart was practically full, she brought it to the clerk desk, flashing a smile at him. "Hey, Jumper."

"Julie." He breathed out, bored. "I know why you're here."

"You do?" She asked.

He hummed. "You're gonna try to give me a fake I.D.
or tell me some story about how your mom forgot to buy wine for a dinner party or something." Jumper rolled his eyes, arm crossed.

"No. I'm not." She promised, bringing her bottom lip between her teeth, her face saddening. "I'm gonna tell you the truth, and then you can decide if you want to help me out." Jumper stayed silent, staring at her, intrigued. "Uh, so here's the deal. It's been a really crappy six weeks."

"Yeah, I, uh, I heard about their mom." Jumper nodded with a small frown. "I'm sorry."

Juliette nodded with a closed-lip smile. "Yeah.
And I'm sure, um, you heard the house was for sale. It actually sold this morning. So tonight is our last
night here, for, like, ever."

"Whoa." Jumper pulled his brows together, feeling sorrowful. "That blows."

"It does blow." She sighed. "Have you ever just had,
like, the shittiest day and-and all you want to do is
just hang out with your friends and have a beer?" She chuckled. "Look, Jumper, this has been really hard on us and it's all just getting worse. Please." She placed her palm over her knuckle as he uncrossed his arm.

Jumper swallowed, glancing at the cameras before back at the younger girl. He scoffed, nodding. "Yeah, yeah." Juliette squealed lowly as she slid over her credit card.

Jumper handed it back to her, coming out from around the counter as the two exited the convenient store, she clutched a box of beer as he pushed the cart behind her.

The prideful grin didn't go unseen by the Fisher boys as they gawked in amazement, getting out of car.

"Let's get this in the car quick." Jumper helped while the two boys helped him unload the cart. "And do not get pulled over on the way home, or I'll say you stole it while I was on the job. Okay?"

Juliette shot Jumper a smile as he passed her, rolling the cart back into the store. She clutched two slushees, bringing the straw to her lips as she approached the trunk.

"I can't believe you just asked." Conrad chuckled, placing the beer box into the trunk. Jeremiah hummed, adding, "I can't believe it worked."

"Come on, guys." She shrugged giddily. "Not everything has to be so complicated." Her eyes shifted to Conrad for a mere second.

Jeremiah glanced down at the slushee with his lips turning up into a smile. "For me?"

She nodded, hanging him the cold drink. He furrowed his brows. "What is it." Juliette pursued her lips. "Drink it and see."

He brought the straw between his lips, beaming as the drunk hit his tastebuds. "Half cherry, half Coke." He chuckled, nudging her. "Your specialty."

Jeremiah thanked her before walking off, getting into the passenger side of the car, she glanced over at Conrad.

"Where's mine?" He raised his brows, pushing his bottom lip out slightly.

Juliette peered down at her drink, the condensation on her fingertips as she held it. "You always say they're too sugary."

"Yeah, well, I'm thirsty, so too bad." Conrad scoffed, ducking his head down to her straw. Their closeness made her freeze, holding in her breathes. He pulled away, shaking his head in disgust. "Mm, too sugary.

Juliette laughed softly, staring at him with big eyes. He placed his hand on the trunk, his eyes trailing to meet hers. "And I thought cocoa was your specialty."

Her lips parted, thinking of the intimate night between them. Her cheeks flushed red. "I, uh, everything is my specialty, Conrad."

"Hm." He hummed, clicking his tongue. "I'm sure."
