Her parents' daughter through and through who was actually the perfect mix of the two of them, to the point where they had no idea of what she was hiding despite the amount of security around her.
"I think we need to have a conversation, can someone call Hwan in ?" Taehyung spoke. "It's past his bedtime but he should be awake."
"Pop what's going on ?" Myungshi asked, worried by the turn of events.
The way he saw it, his father was about to tell everything about the family's real activities to his siblings which in his opinion was the worst thing to do in that very moment.
Still he stayed quiet, just like everyone else in the room who just awkwardly sat there.
When Hwan arrived, his eyebrows furrowed, eyes focusing on everyone before he took a seat, his headphones hung around his neck.
".. Are you dying or something ?" He asked his father, face scrunching.
"Or is it the moment where you indirectly push us to fight and commit felonies against each other to take over the great Kim business empire ?" Dabin added, staring at him.
Because yes, to cover up their real jobs, the Kim's owned real estate and companies all over Asia.
None only was it good to cover up the dirty money, but it was also a great way to transfer for guns and weapons all over the continent.
"I just wanted to gather my oldest children." Taehyung dismissed their jokes with a smile, watching all of them one by one.
"Yejun is barely a year younger than Hwan though.." Myungshi pointed out, confused as to what that was all about.
Maybe his father wanted to tell them to truth which again, was completely unnecessary in Myungshi's opinion.
Dabin wouldn't particularly care, but Kwangsun — who was already dealing with something of his own — would freak out, especially since he was so anti-violence.
Hwan's reaction could either be neutral or extreme, no in between.
"Yejun, Jiah and Hajoon are different." Taehyung answered. "I don't know what happened with them, but they're not as reckless as you guys, they lack the troublemaking tendency."
"Gee thanks, call us pieces of shit while you're at it." Dabin scoffed. "But then again, considering what Mama calls you, I'd say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.."
Taehyung chuckled, shaking his head.
Arabella herself questioned what was going on, but she had other matters to focus on, like Kwangsun's incoming fatherhood starting.
After decades of being married to this man, she understood that if there was something he was good at, it was probably unnecessary speeches.
She was the drama queen, but he wasn't so far behind her.
".. I just wanted to tell you guys that despite being 'pieces of shit', you're my biggest pride." He started. "Myungshi made a mistake and got himself engaged at seventeen, he never complained or cried about it and took his responsibility." He turned to his only daughter at the table. "Dabin.. You get into trouble for sport, but you're like a little fox, witty, you might call your brothers for backup but I'm pretty sure that you do it to annoy them, not because you can't protect or defend yourself." He then turned to the youngest. "Every time we go to a parent-teacher for you, we learn about situations you get yourself in because your smarty-pants self never, ever tell anyone about anything if you can fix it yourself, be it fights with other children or your grades."
