[before olivia can answer the door opens and ian and mandy walk in]

ian: think she might be a bit old for you bud...

[olivia then turns and sees mandy and ian]

mandy: hey liv

olivia: uh..hey mandy [olivia then sends ian a look who shrugs at her] well..now that you guys are back ...i should

ian: stay...you should stay...because....you are my best friend...and i think you should [ian then stomps on olivia's foot] stay

olivia: ouch...and yea..i can stay

carl: oh..perfect...we can make it a double date...got a spot right here liv [carl then pats down on the spot next to him

olivia: yea..i'm good here carl

carl: you know what liv...you can keep playing hard to get...but one day...you will want me...

[olivia then sighs as ian sits beside her mouthing sorry and she just chuckles as they watch tv]

ANNOUNCER: Tropic Thunder is right on Gravedigger's back wheel! He's hooked himself to the Digger's bumper! Look at that...!

ian: Do you, um, want another beer?

mandy: Okay.But-But don't be too long.

[mandy then kicks carl]

carl: Ow!

mandy: Get out of here, shithead!

carl: Ow! Fine. Whatever....its not like i'm getting anywhere with liv tonight..

olivia: and that is my cue

[as olivia and carl walk out they run into ian]

ian: You're leaving?

carl: Yeah. Enjoy getting herpes.

olivia: carl!

[carl then walks away as olivia waves at them leaving as well]

[next morning]

[olivia is walking out of her room making coffee and hears a loud pounding on the door and checks her watch and it says its 9:00am]

olivia: just a second

[olivia then opens the door and ian barges in]

ian: i need to talk to you

olivia: uh..ok..coffee

[ian then nods and she pours him a cup as she adds milk and sugar in hers and sits down]

olivia: what's going on

ian: mandy attacked me last night

[olivia then starts to chuckle]

ian: livvy..this isn't funny...

olivia: i'm sorry...it is not...so what are you going to do

ian: i don't know..i mean i feel bad for hurting her feelings...but i don't feel that way about her...

olivia: i'm sure if you talk to her...she will understand...i mean its mandy...

ian: maybe....

[later]

[olivia is at the coffee shop working on some songs while drinking some coffee and sees thomas]

thomas: hey....liv [smirking]

olivia: what do you want

thomas: i'm looking for you're better half...ian...
