Right, now I'm all set to go. I slung my bag over my shoulder and headed to the door. I left the house and got in my car, driving off to school. Reaching the school, I stepped out of the car and walked towards the school. When I entered the school, I headed straight for the teacher's office.
"Morning Grayson," my friends greeted me with smiles.
"Morning guys," I greeted them back with a smile and a wave. I set my things down and took my jacket off. "Guys, I'll be back right back. Can you watch my things for me?" They nodded to that making me smile before heading out of the teacher's office. I walked to the principal's office and knocked on the door. Within a few moments, the door opened and I came face to face with the principal.
"Mr Parker, good morning. What can I do for you?" He asked curiously as he opened the door fully, letting me walk in and sit down in a chair. He sat down in his chair and looked at me with a curious expression.
"Sir, I was wondering if I could bring Catalina on a field trip to the art museum nearby during art class," I announced with hopeful eyes. His eyes widened at this and he stared at me with wide eyes before he eyed me suspiciously.
"May I ask why?" He asked in wonder as he rubbed his chin.
"Well, she did a lot for me during that situation with Sarah, so I wanted to do something nice in return," I explained shortly with a small smile. He nodded in understanding, slowly though and the way he eyed me worried me.
"I see and how many people are planning to have with you?" He asked as he stared me straight in the eyes.
"I... was planning it to be just for her and I actually," I replied with a nervous look. He gave me a knowing look before sighing. "It's alright if you don't agree. I just thought I'd ask."
"It's not that I don't agree with the idea of a field trip to the art museum. I just don't agree with the idea of it just being you and Ms Monroe going to the art museum alone. I mean, after what happened with Ms Harper, I would think that being alone with a student would be something that you would want to avoid," he proclaimed as he raised an eyebrow at me. My eyes widened when I realized what he was saying.
"Oh no, that's not what I was thinking sir. It was just meant to be for educational purposes," I declared in my defense as I shook my head. He nodded in understanding of that.
"If you wish to take Ms Monroe to the art museum then I would suggest that you take a whole class along with another teacher, so that in case someone sees out then you will have many eye witnesses to see that you are fraternizing with a student Mr Parker," he said suggestively. I glanced down at my lap. He's right now that I think about it. If a student were to see just me and Catalina together alone then they may think that we're romantically involved. Thinking this now, I realized that I really didn't think this one through.
"I understand sir," I responded with a nod of understanding.
"If you would like, I can arrange for your first class, the one that has Catalina in it, to go on a field trip today and have perhaps Mr Evans come along with you since he is into art as well," he offered as he leaned back in his chair. I assumed that he meant William since he likes photography and art. I thought about it for a moment. That may not be such a bad idea. I mean, Catalina will still get to go to the museum. It just won't be her and me alone. That may be the better idea. "However, I should tell you that Ms Monroe will only be class in the morning. She will be leaving the school for the afternoon."
"Oh, how come? Did something happen?" I asked curiously and worriedly. It seemed rare for a student like Catalina to want to skip school. He opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it before sighing a bit.
