"I suppose the cups weren't lost after all, huh?" I quirk an eyebrow, my teeth catching onto my bottom lip in an attempt to suppress a smile.

A soft chuckle leaves him at this, his eyes briefly glancing down to my lips. "Well I had to stop you from running around the house and continually stressing yourself out."

My smile slightly falters. "There's just so much to do before everyone gets here."

His smile slowly falls as well, his eyes worryingly watching mine. "What else is there to do?"

I swallow, my eyes avoiding his as I try to think of more things. "Well there's... there's..-"

His chuckle interrupts me, my eyes darting back to his. "There's nothing," He says, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Look." He changes his grip to turn me around, his arms slowly sliding around my waist as he rests his chin against my head from behind me.

My eyes immediately begin to look over the area, wondering what more Christmas decorations I should put or any other food I may have forgotten to cook and not yet realized.

"It looks amazing, Y/n," Draco whispers softly. "Everything looks absolutely amazing."

I gently bite at my cheek for a moment. "You really think so?"

"I know so," he responds without hesitation. "Although," he begins, moving his chin to rest inside the crook of my neck, the warmth of his breath and the small rasp in his voice hitting my ear. "Nothing looks quite as good as my wife."

Quiet laughter leaves me as he begins gently kissing at my neck, my body fully relaxing into his hold. "You know, you won't always be able to win me over by doing that," I say, my smile widening ever so slightly as my eyes admire the ring on my left ring finger.

The two of us have been married for just over a year now having had a fall wedding. It was a rather small wedding that took some convincing from my father, due to the fact that we were and still are so young. I hadn't necessarily been expecting Draco to ask me to marry him, though there was nothing more I wanted to do than dedicate all my love and life to him. There was something so beautiful and special about being able to call him my husband, and the ring only symbolized that further.

"Mmm," He hums lightly against my skin, small butterflies erupting in my stomach at the sound. "We'll see about that."

I gently bite onto my bottom lip as I turn around, Draco's arms not once loosening their hold on me. My life over the last year has been nothing short of a dream come true, with constant love and affection from the man that meant the world to me.

My hands rest against his chest as I lightly pick off some fuzz from his black sweater. The piece of clothing was smooth and soft, tightening more around the muscles of his arms and chest. He had the sleeves pushed up to just under his elbows, his forearms and the watch on his wrist visible because of it.

He has lost absolutely none of his beauty since his teenage years, in fact it's probably only grown as he has.

"I've got something for you," He says softly, my eyebrows rising in response. With a hint of shyness, he reaches into the pocket of his dress pants to reveal a tiny frame with a string attached to the top of it as to make it an ornament.

A small smile reaches my lips as I can already guess what it is before I take it from his hand. Inside the small frame there's a picture of the two of us grinning ear to ear as we stand in front of our newly bought house. Underneath the picture there's silver lettering that shows the year in which we got the house. This year. And now the ornament will always show that.

I grin widely as I admire the picture and our pure excitement before glancing up at Draco. He smiles right back at me before I lean in to quickly place a kiss against his lips. "Thank you. I love it," I whisper. "I love you."

His lips tug further, a small blush rising on his pale cheeks and nose. "I love you."

We slowly begin leaning into each other again before the sound of our doorbell instantly alerts us.

"They're here!" I say excitedly, trying to ignore any stress about how the house looks. This will be our first time hosting the Christmas get together that happens every year.

I quickly walk toward the front of the house, Draco following behind me at a more reasonable pace. As soon as I reach it, I open the door, a wide grin appearing on my face as I see Pansy.

"Hi!" I say excitedly before we hug each other tightly, slightly swaying side to side before I let her go and focus my attention on the bump coming from her stomach. "Oh my goodness look at this little growing guy," I say, a small pout of admiration now on my face. Really the bump hadn't grown much at all since the last time I saw it, though it was still fun to freak out over.

"Three months next week." She smiles excitedly, placing her hands gently on her stomach.

After more freaking out over the pregnancy, I turn my attention to Draco and Blaise now in conversation. Blaise meets my eyes a moment later, saying a quick "Hey!" before hugging me. He had somehow grown even taller since our time at Hogwarts, also seeming to have developed a bit more muscle alike to Draco.

Draco and I get together with Pansy and Blaise quite often, having obtained the same close friendships that we've all always had.

A moment later, the doorbell rings once again. Waiting outside is Theo and Alexa (Theo's girlfriend who he met at work and has been dating for about a year and a half) with friendly smiles and presents in hand.

"Hiya!" I welcome them with a grin, giving Alexa a hug before offering to take their presents from them as Draco politely takes their coats.

From the moment I first met Alexa a year ago, I knew she would easily fit into our friend group. She has a heart of gold, yet such a fun spirit. Plus she has the most contagious laugh I have possibly ever heard.

Once I set their presents under the tree along with everyone else's, I focus down on the ornament still in my hand that Draco had gifted to me only minutes ago. With a smile growing on my lips, I pick a place out at the front of our tree to hang it up.

"Oh Merlin, how precious is that," Pansy says softly as she comes to stand beside me, the two of us admiring the small frame and all the memories included within it.

"Mhm," I hum quietly, the smile still plastered on my lips.

Once conversation started growing and everyone grew more and more comfortable, dinner was served at our table that was just big enough for everyone to fit around. Warm laughter filled the room as soft jazz Christmas music played in the background, a small crackle of fire adding to the ambience every so often.

After dinner and dessert, everyone gave and received gifts, a basic yet meaningful tradition that we uphold each year.

Now everyone sits comfortably in the Christmas scented living room, each couple together in their own spot. Theo and Alexa are seated on the largest couch, her hand resting inside of his on his lap. Pansy sits atop Blaise's legs, her body snuggled into his chest as she continuously gently caresses a hand over her small baby bump. Draco and I are on the soft rug of the living room, him laying on his side and me resting my head up against his stomach, our hands somewhat interlocked as they subconsciously play.

"I keep forgetting to mention it but the house decorations look stunning, Y/n," Alexa says kindly, her eyes roaming around the room.

Draco quietly snorts at this. I elbow his ribs in return. "Aw, thank you. I can't lie I was definitely stressing a bit over that."

"Ah, typical Y/n." Theo grins, shaking his head slowly.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I quirk an eyebrow, briefly glancing at the smirking boy behind me.

"Don't pretend you two weren't always bossing us around." Blaise points an accusatory finger at me.

"I'm sure the three of you deserved it," Alexa adds, a small smirk growing on her lips as she glances at Theo.

"Thank you Alexa, I second that," I respond, flashing a quick grin at the girl.

"I third it!" Pansy raises her hand from her spot on Blaise's lap.

As Blaise and Theo begin on the subject of quidditch, I feel a familiar pair of eyes on me. I turn my head to look at Draco, a questioning expression on my face.

"What?" I ask quietly, only for him to hear.

His smile grows slightly, his eyes fully focused on me. "Nothing. I just love seeing you happy."

A smile of my own begins to grow, a bit of heat rising up to my face at the pure admiration in his eyes. "I am happy."

"Me too," he almost whispers, pulling my hand to his lips to place a few gentle kisses along my knuckles.

My smile only grows as I focus my attention back on everyone and their laughter that must have followed a joke I didn't hear. The joke didn't matter much to me, though, only everyone's smiles that seemed to light up the room ever so slightly.

If there's one thing I can be sure of, it is that everyone in this room is happy. My family is happy.
