50: "Burning with Adorable Jealousy"

I looked at Rosé, who had this big smile on her face, and muttered to myself, "Guess I've got my work cut out for me."

"...Ah—"

As my brain started to clear up, I couldn't help but groan a little as I remembered our conversation from last night. I mean, I wasn't against the idea, but seeing Rosé first thing in the morning totally caught me off guard and made me forget everything.

Rosé watched my reaction with this mix of amusement and exasperation. But honestly, she didn't seem too annoyed. She just found it hilarious how forgetful I can be sometimes. So, I pouted my lips and apologized.

"Good grief, you're so forgetful... Well, get dressed and wash your face already."

"Okay, okay."

I knew Rosé was probably going to whip up some delicious breakfast while I got ready. Trying my best to hold back a yawn, I got out of bed and took off my shirt. And then, out of nowhere, I heard a little shriek right next to me. "Hyah!"

I casually tossed my shirt on the bed and looked at Rosé, who had her eyes squeezed shut and was trembling a bit. Her cheeks were all flushed.

"Listen, I've told you before, but please don't change in front of me," she said, clearly flustered from seeing me take off my shirt.

I couldn't help but let out a wry smile.

"Come on, we're both girls. It's not a big deal if you see me."

"Well, it is for me..."

"Look, I'm not trying to show off or anything, and I'm not going to tell you that you have to get used to it or whatever, but if this bothers you, we won't be able to enjoy a lot of summer staples like going to the pool."

I wondered how Rosé had managed until now, since she apparently wasn't accustomed to seeing people's bodies... But since she didn't know how to swim, she probably always found a reason to sit out of swim classes at school.

I couldn't imagine Rosé, who was usually so serious, skipping a class. But since she genuinely didn't know how to swim and intentionally chose a university where swimming wasn't a required subject, she must have found a way to manage.

We had talked about the possibility of visiting the pool over the summer, but it would be difficult if she was overly conscious about it. Actually, at the pool, everyone would be in swimwear. I started to worry if she would be able to handle it.

"Uh... I-I can handle it," Rosé responded, almost groaning, in a feeble voice. She must have been self-conscious about her reaction. Then, she timidly opened her eyes and looked at my body.

Almost on the verge of tears and shaking, with a bright-red face, Rosé groaned after peering at my upper half.

Frankly, I didn't think my figure made for a particularly salacious sight. I had been exercising more and adding to my training regimen to become a better match for Rosé. Compared to when we first met, my figure had become more toned and feminine. There were faint curves starting to show on my body, but nothing so impressive that would force Rosé to avert her eyes.

...If she can't get used to this, it's going to be a problem when we take things further.

I figured that was probably a long way off, but it would still pose some difficulty if our relationship was going to develop past a certain point.

But I was positive that I would also freeze in my tracks if I ever saw Rosé similarly exposed, so it was probably going to be an issue for both of us.

My own face turned red as I imagined impossible scenarios, so I spoke to Rosé, whose face was just as flushed. "...Uh, so, um... Would you please go make food?"
