this is a celebration.

long ago, pagpatak ng 2018, after matapos ang love songs for no one, i stopped from writing. until i realized, i did not stop writing per se, but prose fiction writing ang natigil sa akin. 

magkaiba pala ito.

hindi sadya ang pagtigil.

may pinili lang akong daan na akala ko ay 'yon ang gusto ko.
partly, gusto ko pa rin naman.
kaso at what cost? my sanity.

hindi ko naman pinagsisisihan.

but that experience broke me, thus, i could not finish a prose fiction novel again.

sinubukan ko naman.
sulat, bura, sulat, bura. 

hindi talaga keri.

i dropped fiction writing.
nag-explore muna ako.

malawak ang mundo ng storytelling.

when 2020 started, nagbalik ako sa fiction, but not prose. y chronicles collaboration became a push to write again. 2021, natapos ko ang siklab na may sakdal laya -- an epistolary novel.

the story was welcomed by readers.
that made my heart full.

kaya ko pa pala magsulat at makatapos ng fiction story.

yay.

e ng prose?

enter afgitmolfm. i rewrote it nung 2019 to help me recalibrate.
akala ko madali, hindi pala. 

nagkaroon ako ng roadblock. a "from scratch" chapter kaya natigil ako for a year sa revising. then finally, 2022, i was done with it.

shet, keri ko na magsulat ng prose.
kaso ang hirap. 

pagod na pagod ako.
naghihikahos.

yong dating 5k words per chapter in just a day na pagsusulat,
it took 3 days for me para masulat ang 2k words (max).

but at least, nakasulat.

and then,
here we are now.

every after office hours.

this was written because someone commissioned me, kaso hindi na nila ako binalikan. ako na lang ang bumalik. gusto ko itong i-share sa inyo, kasi ito ang attempt ko sa pagsusulat from scratch after kong mawala sa pagsusulat ng fiction.

but the thing is, this is not written in prose.
this is also not a novel.

it's a short story. 10 eps.
written as a screenplay.

also, may two endings.
and you choose your ending.

somewhat true, but i say, nah.
you just have to actively seek for your people.
