"Going on 6 Year's now.  I used to do hair.  But I stopped after I made enough money to start"

"Smart women I see.  Somebody I need in my corner"

"So just one child no other existing kids? "

"Nah.  I do want more.  But shit I ain't come across a good lady yet"

"You'll find somebody.  Sometimes men can pick the women and be good to them but it's the woman that's never good to that man.  I'm saying you've probably picked all the women you've dated and never had a woman come to you"

Quincy looks at Lola putting down his drink.

"Crazy. My homey said that to me the other day now you."

"Then that's a sign.  Stop picking these women let them come naturally"

"You came naturally.  And I want more of you"

Lola starts biting her lip putting her head down.

"Hmm," She said

Quincy leans his head slightly sideways so he can get her attention.

"Hmm?  You gone give a nigga a chance? "

Lola lifted her head.

"We gone see how tonight ends"

Jordan walks in with his homeboy and sees Lola sitting at a table with another dude he never seen before.  Walking over there furious.  He grabs Lola up in front of everybody which takes Quincy by surprise.

"YOU FUCKING DUMB BITCH. WHAT I SAY THE OTHER DAY?" Jordan said lifting his hands about the punch her.

"Jordan STOP" Lola yells

Quincy gets up pushing Jordan then stealing off on him.  Quincy pulls out his gun and points at Jordan and his Homebody.

"You know me nigga.  And you know I'll drop you right here" he said looking at Jordan's friend.

"Yo Jordan man let's go. "

"Nigga I ain't going nowhere"

"I said lets go bro.  You don't want to get killed nigga"

Jordan looks at Lola

"Bring your ass"

"She ain't going nowhere with you nigga. "

Jordan left.  Quincy saw everybody looking at them.  He puts his gun away grabs Lola's arm and goes to the car.  He opens the door for Lola letting her get in.  He got in shut the door and looked at Lola.

"Who was that nigga? "

"That my ex. I'm sorry for even putting you into my situation like that.  "

"Nah you good.  You ain't got no brothers? "

"I was the only child"

"Man.  How long were you with him? "

"5 years.  Dealt with the abuse for that long.  I was just strong enough to leave this time"

"What do he do? " He said pulling off

"He owns a clothing line.  That's about it. "

"Look I'm going be real I would have laid that nigga out if you said it.  I don't play that abusive shit"

"You don't have to.  But our date was just getting better"

"Nah it ain't over.  I got somewhere we can go"

He pulls up to this fancy restaurant called "Wine and Dine"

"You look like a wine type of girl.  Tell me I'm lying? " he said smiling and looking at her

"Wine is my favorite," She said giving off a laugh.

They walk in sitting down.  Quincy ain't won't her think about what just happened.  He just wanted to get her mind off it.

"Sit down queen"

He sits down getting the waiter's attention.

"Do y'all have any wine drinks we can try to see which one we like? "

"Yes, we do.  Just look here at the menu and tell me which one and I'll be back"

The waiter came back like 10 minutes later.  They gave off the ones they wanted to try. She came back sitting the drinks down.  They began to try which one they liked.  The first one was Merlot

"Okay this one ain't bad," Lola said

"Not at all"

Then they tried "Lambrusco"

"Oh no," Lola said

Quincy laughs trying it.  His face did the same as hers.

"Yeah hard pass"

They laughed together.  Then they tried "Brachetto d'Acqul"

"Okay this might be my favorite one," Lola said

Quincy tried it agreeing.  And that's what they drank the rest of the night. Lola enjoyed herself with Quincy.  She never had this much fun in forever with any guy.

They left pulling up at Lola's spot.  Quincy got out opening the door.

"You have fun?" He asked

"I enjoyed myself honestly.  Thank you for taking my mind off him.  And sorry for even putting you in that"

"I wanted to take your mind off of him period.  But don't be sorry I'll do it all over again. "

Lola walks up wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him.  As he returns the hug.

"I'll be texting you," She said walking up to her house.

"I hope baby," he said walking around to his car getting in and driving off.
