"Let her free? Alam ba nila na mutated zombie si Lucy?"

Tumango si Urse. "Yeah. But they also know that Lucy retained her memories and acts timid. They believe na normal si Lucy, that she is immune to the virus. They are against running experimentation with her because it's inhumane."

Hindi makapaniwalang tumingin si Rumi kay Urse. "You're joking, right?"

"I wish I am. I know it's crazy. Anyway, kailangan ko nang bumaba para makontrol ang sitwasyon. There might be instigator among them. " Bumubuntong-hiningang paalam nito baog umalis.

Rumi went to his father's office. He nodded at the guard outside, whom nodded back and let him approach the door. Kumatok muna siya ng tatlong beses bago binuksan ang pinto.

"Dad." Nag-angat ng tingin si Berette mula sa binabasa nang madinig ang boses ni Rumi. Sitting across him is Al. Nakaupo ang mga ito sa may office table ni Berette na maraming nakapatong na mga papel, bukod pa sa timbon na nakalagay sa isang divider sa may gilid nito. Rumi greeted his brother too before he he took a chair and put it in front his brother, sitting on it.

"What brought you here?" Tanong ni Berette kay Rumi.

Rumi put a folder on the table and pushed it towards Berette. "Vice commander Helen wants to conduct a general check up. Eto po ang mga list na kakailanganin niya. We don't have some of those, especially some medicines and equipment."

Kinuha ni Berette ang folder at binuksan. He did a quick glance at it, flipping the pages up. "Alright. Hand this to the scout team first para macheck nila kung may nakita silang ganito at mahanap in case na wala pa."

Venturing outside is really dangerous dahil nasa gitna sila ng city. One wrong move and they can lure a lot of zombies in their base. Although the combat group is stronger now, so as the zombies. Hindi nila kakayanin ang frontal assault and large mobs. And large mobs here is indeed large. Just a single wave consist of hundreds, if not thousands, of zombies. They don't rely on weapons anymore especially firearms, but on their skills. Kung maiipit sila sa malaking zombie horde ay hindi kakayanin ng mana reserve nila. That's the reason why they need to make sure na ang pupuntahan nilang lugar ay may supply na kakailanganin nila, and it will not be too dangerous to the point that they can't escape. The scout teams are indeed playing a big part to their overall safety.

"Alright. Thanks, dad." Bumaling naman siya sa kapatid na si Al. "Ikaw kuya, bakit ka nandito?"

"We are having some trouble in the supply team. As usual, may ilan na sinusubukan magpuslit sa mga warehouse." Simpleng sagot ni Al. He also oversee the management of their supplies kaya madalas nitong nakikita ang mga pasimpleng nagtatago ng supplies due to the difference on the reported amount and the inventory. Some were hard to spot due to their clever way of doing it but it can't escape Al's keen eyes and intuition.

"Oh? Hindi ba hindi ka naman nagpupunta kay dad kapag may mga ganitong bagay at sinosolve mo na lang mag-isa? Mataas ba ang ranggo ng assailant ngayon?" Tanong ni Rumi. He knows how capable his brother is. Halos hindi na nito kailangan ng tulong sa pagresolba ng mga problema.

"It's not like that. It just notice something and it concern me."

Napataas ang isang kilay ni Rumi dahil sa sinabi ng kapatid. If it bothers his brother, that means it is possibly a big problem.

"Ano 'yun?"

"Among the missing supplies, there are some missing zombie pearls. Noong una ay hinahayaan ko dahil baka nagagandahan lang sila dito at balak gawing decoration. We don't even know the use of it and the research group is not running out of it. Nakatambak lang sa storage nila ang karamihan nito. But then, when I heard about the people who are sneaking something into Lucy's room, I tracked the missing supplies."
