"I'm entranced."
Her smile grew as she shifted her body to move her head up towards mine.
I felt her hot breath against my lips as she spoke.
"The feeling is mutual." There was a mischievous glint in her eyes, and I felt my face heat up just like the way hers was.
We stayed there, staring into each other's eyes, getting lost in those pits of endless affection, before she slowly leaned up, connecting our lips together.
It was a short kiss, but it carried all that it was meant to.
Affection, adoration, love.
Love.
She settled back down on my shoulder, closing her eyes again.
I caught a thought before I could word it, that I'd wanted to see her eyes some more, to remain infinitely in that alluring warm embrace they brought me.
I closed my eyes as well, deciding to try and get some more sleep too.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Horikita POV:
Taking in a breath, I slowly opened my eyes, my vision blurry and unfocused.
Today marks the first day of our winter break.
The last thing I remember doing...
What was it?
Could it still be the same day?
I lifted a hand to my head, trying to remember.
I moved to get up, but something stopped me.
Ah.
That's right.
I stopped myself, settling back down as the person leaning into me stirred in their sleep.
I remember now.
I checked my phone.
It was still night.
I'd just received a text from Shizukana saying there was something urgent he needed to go do, and dropped Kushida off here for me to care for her.
If I remember right, the reason he dropped her off here was because she was going through her 'caring' phase.
You see, back when Shizukana confronted Kushida, and essentially broke her, she's been needing a lot of mental support.
She has different 'phases' to put it simply.
Her 'normal' phase, in which she acts as usual, and is typically always on whenever in class or with others.
Her 'caring' phase, the one currently active. It is essentially a phase used to help her recharge, where she asks a bunch of questions and where we give appropriate answers. It's also considered a soothing phase, that it's okay for her to be scared, or worried, because that's normal.
A phase in which she needs gentle, positive affirmation, in order for her to keep in mind that we forgive her, and that she should forgive herself, and most importantly that she was safe.
Which brings in the third and final phase, the one we dubbed the 'switch' phase. This phase is what is active when she's ranting about her problems, what she disliked about others and her current emotional status.
She was wary to do this around me at first, but after some time she opened up more to me.
I lifted a hand, carefully prodding through Kushida's soft hair, gently combing it with my hand.
